Kentucky fans should expect to win. His teams are extremely hard to guard, his players are well-schooled on how to play, and they play smart from an analytical standpoint. Hardly run any sets; just play really fast and try to score in transition or from their early offense.

I imagine Pope will coach his guys a lot like how Reed was coached growing up by his dad. More classic, traditional, how we all were taught. Reed plays like he's from the 90s with textbook chest and bounce passes. Head always up on a swivel. Well crafted shooting form. Makes a great simple play look easy, because it should be.

As opposed to getting the best athletes we can to put the ball in the hoop. The Reed Sheppard and Antonio Reeves of the world will be more common than the Khalil Whitney and Chris Livingston and Alex Poythress'.

Pretty sure that's from an anonymous coach familiar with Pope. About all we have is what other coaches in the B12 and surrounding area discuss.
I know Sampson had a glowing quote about defending his offense.

I watched no sets being ran for 15 seasons.
But the problem with that, up until this year, is that we ran a half court offense and held onto the ball for 75% of the shot clock without running any sets or plays or actually moving. Just stand around pass around until somebody tries to drive or somebody launches a contested shot. This year actually showed promise due to Welch. But non-existent defense killed any progress on that front.

And then we got to the NCAA and Cal decided to feature a post offense through Tre Mitchell who was still recovering from the looks of it with no other real gameplan.

He was too busy trying to con OSU into hiring him to actual coach or draw up a gameplan to win

Thank you. Sounds encouraging.
