Late round fliers:<div>Jabar Gaffney can be had pretty late and with the way Denver's WR core is shaking out he may have a career year around 1,000 yards and 7td's. Orton trusts him more than any other receiver on the roster evident by his 6 for 96 yards in the first half last game and his explosion at the end of last season.</div><div>
</div><div>Mike Thomas has been outperforming MSW during training camp and played well as a rookie finishing with around 500 yards. MSW is already injury prone so he could be a huge get. He would more than likely be available on the waiver wire after the draft though.</div><div>
</div><div>Legedu Naanee with Jackson gone he and Floyd are now starters. Floyd is the presumed number one guy but Naanee has size, speed and huge ups. He could emerge as the number one guy but regardless he has a superstar throwing to him, balls will be available.</div><div>

Drink and draft, but don't drink and drive. Actually you could probably do both in this town. Draft advice really all depends on where you're picking and how many teams are in your league... but I would keep the following in mind:<div>
</div><div>- Running backs are as deep as ever.</div><div>- There's a sizeable drop off at quarterback after Romo/Rivers/Schaub, although there are a couple of guys you could still get late that'd suffice as starters. Kolb's a gamble, so I might go with Flacco between rounds 7-9 if you miss out on the top two tiers. Don't forget about Rapethisburger. He'll be suspension and bye free following the 5th week.</div><div>- Don't reach for a defense (pre-10th round) unless it's the Jets or Niners.</div><div>- Don't draft Sidney Rice.</div><div>
</div><div>I'd be more specific but half my league reads this board and I don't want to give away my strategy for this year. We draft on Sunday night.</div><div>
</div><div>

at least 75 times in my life...used to it...

I like Kolb- ...I think he will throw 30 TD's and I can get him about round 6

I'm usually drafting 7-9...I always trade down...last year I traded down to 9 and drafted Andre Johnson and Fitz and still finished 5th cause my RB's were so bad...

and yeah, no Rice

in a contract year have much more (millions more) to play for. Randy Moss is in a contract year this year. He could put up really big numbers this year.

I think Kolb will be good. Something like 5 out of Deshaun Jackson's 7 catches of 40+ last year came on McNabb scrambling. Without McNabb, I think Jackson's numbers might drop some, especially considering where you'll have to draft him.

I think Chad Henne would be a good 2nd QB, especially now that he has a legit target to open things up for him.

Fred Jackson has more value than CJ Spiller.

I think Hakeem Nicks is a great late value, especially in ppr leagues.

If your choices are Fitz and Moss, I dont think it's close.

The thing is that Arizona in 2010 might look alot different that it has in the past. They moved off Bouldin, they've picked up some blocking TE's, they drafted a big power back in Wells, and Leinart aint Kurt Warner. I think Arizona is gonna be a running team this year, like those Steelers' teams Whizenhunt was on.

Fitz is still a great talent, but I think if they're inside the 5 this year they're going to run it in instead of hit Fitz on a quick slant.

Fitz is 9th on my WR board...Leinart is not the QB of the future...I think Anderson steals the job before 2010 ends

1. Calvin Johnson will be a top 5 receiver this year, maybe top 3.
2. Beware of Reggie Wayne, he is entering his age 32 season which is where many, many receivers fall off the precipice. Not saying it will happen, but combine that factoid with his end of the year production last year and I'm not to bullish on him this year.
3. RBs are deep, TEs are deep, QBs are deep (5 Tier 1 guys, 8 Tier 2 guys), WRs are thin this year.
4. I'd be tempted to go WR-WR in the first two rounds if you can't get one of the top 5 backs and your league starts 3 WRs
5. Flacco is my breakout QB this year, Johnny Knox and Mike Williams are my sleeper WRs, Bernard Scott will be a good one if CedBen goes down due to his large workload, so he may be worth a late round flier.

sleeper value picks per position

QB: Flacco
RB: Bradshaw - will be Giants most dynamic RB and #1
WR: agree with above abt Floyd, Garcon vs Wayne
TE: Miller (OAK) - should be boosted by Campbell (who loved his TEs in washington) and Miller had 800 yards and 4 or 5 TDs last year

my personal theory is to go with an elite QB bc there are only a handful and then find a decent backup that you can draft that has a good week during your QBs bye (i.e. Peyton and alex smith or Garrard). check out the SI issue concerning this for more references.

you can always find a good WR during the season.

best TE on the board is not Dallas Clark but Gates bc the chargers will have more need in receiving after losing Jackson. i bet Cooley or Heath Miller, one of them, have a nice comeback year with the changes in their QB/WR situation.

I really think he is the next Gates.

I agree completely about Flacco. I had plans to wait on him in my auction draft the other night and couldnt resist taking Rivers for $35. Flacco went later for about $11 and I think he could come close to Rivers this year.

As a Chargers fan, I have known about Floyd for a long time. He will have a big year. Doesn't have Jackson's speed, but may be more athletic.

I still think Kolb over Flacco though. Kolb is going to throw it so much more than Flacco and has as many weapons.

What about Ryan Matthews? Think he can handle the load?

I spent way too much on him in my auction, but that was just homerism shining through.

All I can tell you is that they are committed to using him and he has all the physical tools. Norv Turner has already said he will get at least 250 carries.

About the only thing I know about NFL ball is where players played in college, so I missed the hip surgery news, and guess who I picked up. Idiot. Idiot.

Now I don't know if I should drop him off the bench and pick up somebody that will probably just sit or hold on to him in hopes that he actually comes back and plays midway through the season. Oh well.

Kolb > Flacco, Finley is an animal,

I'm not so sure about taking a QB early. There were 10 QBs that passed for over 4,000 yards last year and there were 5 with 30+ TDs. That tells me you can get a 4,000 and 25 td QB in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

I'd go RB or WR 1st round.

Jahvid Best | RB | DET

Devin Aromashodu WR Chicago

Dez Bryant WR Dallas

Dexter McCluster rb/wr Kansascity

Dont forget about Wes Welker and Jeremy Shockey They are going in late rounds but both should have really good seasons.

can't go WR first round unless it's Johnson or Moss...maybe DeSean Jackson if return yards count. really it all depends on your scoring system. hard not to draft a QB you'll never have to sit except one week.

McCluster won't take many carries away from Jamaal Charles and TJones. Charles is dynamic and Jones is the average(age keeps me from saying above average) everywhere.

I think you have to go WR in one of the first two rounds... RB is so deep nobody knows if spiller gets more carries than jackson and they like 3 rounds difference
Matt Forte who has the potential in a Martz offense is going like round 6 or 7
yeah Clinton Portis is old but he played all but one game lastyear, he is great value this year.

Unless I have the last pick in the first round I will not take a QB until I have to land Romo
I know Romo has oline issues but for some reason in round 4 I think he is there to excel.

If you like Kolb as your QB1, I think you have to get Roth or a dependable QB2
I have Kolb rated 13th overall QB just under McNabb

just some of my thoughts
assuming 10 team league.

And after the most obvious were gone from keepers, our 3rd round was more like our first round, and I had the 4th overall pick and took jamaal Charles. He is gonna be a PPR RB beast

I also like Matt forte, l.mcoy, and beanie wells as ppr rbs
