fantasy football question

So my team is terrible. I have always been terrible at fantasy football, but I have quick question. I picked up a running back from the available players about 30 minutes ago, but I am listed as 10 on the waivers. How does that process typically happen? Could anyone pick him up listed lower than me on the waivers? As long as they do it tonight?

First... check your roster.. If he's on your roster, then that means he's on your team.<div>
</div><div>Secondly, if someone has a higher waiver than you, then they'll pick up the player before you if they have their eyes on the same person.</div>

So waiver 1 gets the player before waiver 10?
