Peyton

Broncos are going to get better every week. Luck is awesome but I think there is a higher risk factor with him and the Colts. Just curious, what's the projected for each in your league?(which I rarely use to make a decision)

Peyton is projected to 21.44

Luck is projected to 20.57

It's a big week for me too... there's a cash prize for finishing 1st overall in our regular season. I'm sitting at the #1 spot right now and I'm playing the #2 team this weekend. We're both 8-1, but I have score more points than him, giving me the tiebreaker. If I win this week, it will almost gaurantee me that first place in the league overall.

I've got a tough matchup week for my team too. I have Andre Johnson and Arian Foster going against the Bears.

I would go Peyton, simply because he is the safer play. Both teams should be leading early, and not need to force the pass much. As Ozarka said though, it's probably a coin flip. It'll probably come down to who has the most TDs.

I have Luck on my team. My advice is who is the worse team they are playing? Jacksonville is horrible. I think they are the worst team in the NFL. I say go with Luck.

I appreciate that argument but here's why I think that's a bad idea...

The closer the game is, the more likely the QB is going to throw the ball. If Luck gets up big on Jacksonville, Vick Ballard is going to get a lot of touches.

Luck was 2nd amongst all QB's last week. He set the rookie record for passing yds last week too. Colts will win but they won't be so far ahead they just stop throwing the ball. Broncos could lose. I'll say this, Peyton is the proven safer pick but Luck has the better potential to score high. I also have Tom Brady so Luck is on my bench this week. Good luck.

The other side of that coin is if Denver gets up big on Carolina Willis Magahee will get touches to bring it home, who has done pretty well this year. However, I would still take Sherriff Manning.

Like your arguments and Luck is a great qb to have, but Manning has been nice points except once this season. That hurt me, as did the time that I messed up and sat him. On the other issue, I'd definitely start Arian Foster, and I think he will get huge numbers in that game. I'd probably think if there was a better option than Andre for that game. I had him last year; probably would end up viewing him as the best option. But I'd at least look into it.

I've got Wes Welker, Chris Givens, and Titus Young...

So pretty much Andre Johnson and Wes Welker are starting at all costs.
