I have the 3rd pick in a PPR league. I figure that Peterson and Foster will be off the board. Should I go Ray Rice, Doug Martin or M. Lynch?

No love for Jamaal Charles? In a PPR league and Andy Reid's offense, give him 1,500 yards rushing and 70 catches for another 600 yards. The only question is TDs.

Saw your title and thought it was going to involve a kinky French maid and a nurse that likes to give oral exams.

I actually had he 3rd pick in my draft a couple nights ago.

I went with Martin. Had him last year. He was a yardage and touchdown machine and carried me into the playoffs.

I've picked Lynch the last two years in the second round and he's been the reason I've won both years.

Here's the thing, throw out the "you shouldn't draft a QB/WR/TE in the first round" mentality. Who do you think can give you 20 points a game? Choose them. I either had the 3rd or 4th pick last season and I chose Megatron. He set an NFL record for receiving yards. The first pick in my league was Brees. He threw for 5,000 yards again and had a league best 46 TD's. I managed to get P. Manning in the 3rd and that worked out great but he wasn't even on the page of "best available" when I chose him so I think he was out of sight out of mind for a lot of people, but that's not going to happen that often.

In no particular order you should consider Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Megatron, and the guys you listed. If I've convinced you that not drafting a RB until later is something to consider, keep in mind that Steven Jackson, Montee Ball, Matt Forte, and DeMarco Murray will be available in the middle rounds and should get 70% if not 100%+ of the same points as guys you're considering. Alfred Morris should be available in round 2 and I think he'll have a better season than Martin, but choosing him in the top round would be dumb in my opinion. Shouldn't go ahead of Jimmy Graham.

I had not even thought about Reid being with Charles. He could have a huge year.

charles has to stay healthy to have a huge year. i'd consider him maybe late in the 1st or in the 2nd round, but no sooner.

Here's something I've worked on..

That might help. I'm a big proponent of Standard Deviation when it comes to the value of a player. I'm all about raising first raising your floor. I'd rather have a player score 8 points every game than 4 points, 16 points, 12 points, 0 points...etc. You get the picture. Anyways I've worked on my own rating system based on last years performance, St. Dev in scoring, and 2013 projected (combined 3 different successful rating systems). The Total is a weighted average of rank.

Here's my 2013 RB ranks using this system.
