this season will very likely set up like the last. we look at the schedule and see 8-9 winnable games and think that we will be victorious, but come saturday we end up only beating the teams that we're 'suppose' to beat.
i know we beat uga and fla 2 years ago, and that kind of thing will happen every now and then, but we haven't been able to do it consistently.7-5 going into a bowl game is my expectations for this years team and will likely always be so until we can start beating sec teams other than kentucky and om.

I could go write an article there. It's just kids posting ********. There is no journalism at all on that site.

We are not Alabama or LSU who can rebuild in two years. It takes four to five years for state to build a team that can win 9 or 10 games. You just have to win during that period and go to a bowl game. After watching MSU football for 30 years I will take 6, 7, 8 wins and bowl game every year and on that 4th or 5th year have a really good season and maybe catch LSU and Bama on a down year. I am good with that! Don't think LSU, Alabama or Arkansas will not have a bad year because just look at Florida. Who would have thought they would sux like they do now three years ago. Also Tenn when they were kicking ***. Who would have thought then that they would fall like they have and Georgia is not that good now either and four years ago they were consistently pre season top 5. When it comes to Miss State Football you have to be patient and be happy when you are winning. Two back to back winning seasons and two bowl games. I am good with that.

we have this coming year is a HUGE disappointment. We should win all 4 non-conference games and then within the conference if we lose to Tennessee at home then that is just as bad or worse that losing to UK or UM on the road IMO. If you remember TN actually LOST to UK last year and I don't see them being significantly better this coming year. WE HAVE to win those games to have a good season and I expect us to do that which would put us at a 7-5 record AT LEAST. We are pretty much assured to lose @Bama and @LSU so the REAL swing games are Auburn, A&M and Arkansas ALL at home. There really is no excuse not to win AT LEAST one of those to go 8-4 but if we drop a game like UT or UK that we should win it might take one of these to be at 7-5 so I will still use that as the low bar but we really need to finish next year at least 8-4 to keep the momentum of the program rolling.
