Heady Topper or Focal Banger from Alchemist Brewery. Crazy good.

Vermont IPAs are some of the best in the country. Alchemist, Lawsons and Hill Farmstead are top notch. If you love beer, a NE beer tour in Vermont, especially in fall is worth it.

Treehouse Brewing in Charlton, MA is my favorite brewery.

My favorite beer of all time was a pastry sour from Mountains Walking Brewery in Bozeman MT.

Hey if I get my weight down enough I may switch back to Guinness , speaking of….may have to have some this weekend. Its been a while.
Me too. This thread made me want to pick up a four pack can myself this weekend. Those widgets changed the world. In 1994 that widget thing in the cans won Invention Of The Year Award by public vote in the UK, beating out THE INTERNET for the award.

Sam Adams. The seasonal beers are generally better than the lager. But it’s good too. Also Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan.
Just recently got a southern pecan 6er from Sullivans in Madison that tasted like licorice. Not sure if it was old, but that will be the last time I ever get a southern pecan.

Interesting. I bought a 6pack at Kroger a couple of months ago that tasted the same. Not at all like it usually tastes. Then bought another one a few weeks ago & it was fine. Wonder if they just had a bad batch? But yeah, if this turns into more than a one-off, I’ll drop it from the rotation. Hate to since it’s a Mississippi company.

Did you do the Urguell tour where they serve it straight out of the lagering barrels? The stuff we get here is always skunked because of the damn green bottle, but my local liquor store is selling it in cans now. Necture of the Gods.
I did not. But I just left Ireland and did have Guiness while I was there. The foam there is almost like cool whip it is so thick. Much thicker than the Guiness out of a bottle or can here in the States. The beer was great once you got past that.

It is so thick because they use nitrogen to nitrogenate the beer instead of carbon dioxide. Much smaller bubbles making it seem so thick. Sorry science nerd coming out in me.

I would say the opposite. Pour each in a glass and compare.
Michelob has a bite to it, seems like it’s more carbonated. miller Lite just always tastes flat. When I was younger at keg parties Miller Lite was fine, after a few it tasted as good as anything.

i like the low carb low calorie organic beer Michelob offers, ultra gold.

Yuengling and Pacifico are my go to. In the fall Yuengling Oktoberfest is great.
German Oktoberfests are good: Spaten, Hacker Pschorr, Warsteiner, Paulaner. So is Sierra Nevada. Maybe the best is Weihenstephaner Fest Bier, a modern version of a Maerzen.

Anybody know of a good gluten free beer? I can't touch it anymore otherwise. Summertime kinda sucks when you can't drink beer.

As far as an everyday beer, Yuengling is my go-to. Also really like Coors Banquet, Abita Amber, Pacifico, and XX Ambar.

The best you are going to do is the Mich ultra gold, only 2.5 grams of carbs and its non gmo organic grains. Give it a try. The gluten is in the carbs, usually gmo sprayed down with roundup.

Heady Topper I believe is from Vermont and I had it in Stowe, Vermont a few years back and it was at the time voted the best craft beer in America.
It was good, the best, … I don’t know, but that night in that Inn, in the downstairs bar by the fireplace watching it snow outside with a hot blonde drinking wine next to me. it certainly tasted like it was the best damn beer I’d ever had.
