I remember several defensive pass interference calls by their conference referees late in the game that kept a couple of their drives going. I also remember Sherill having to be escorted to the locker room because he wanted to confront the referees. The Clarion Ledger even published a story the next day outlining all of the questionable calls that were critical to BYU winning the game.

When we broke their RB's leg, the undefeated Cougars were stomped by Hawaii the following week and then lost the Liberty Bowl 28-10 to Louisville. Justice prevailed.

....that was my last game in the student section, and as pissed as we all were, a tremendous number of people waited in the stands for 15 minutes to see what Sherrill would have to say in the postgame press conference on the Jumbotron, and when he said that in his opening statement, the crowd exploded in cheers, applause, and ringing of the cowbells.

draining a three against UK in the Hump to send it to overtime. We went on to win the game.. That was the loudest roar that I had ever heard at the Hump.(before we took down the white ceiling tile) It has been louder on several occasions simce, but that is play that will always stick out in my mind. In football. the pick 6 against Bama, the Ole Miss "kick" int, and the 4thand foreverconversion against Ark in the final minutethatvaulted us to the SEC championship game. Baseball, Masters grand slam, nothing compares.

happier times.

Love most that were mentioned.

The kicked interception vs. ole miss stands out. Also, from last season, AD carrying half a team to paydirt from the twenty. Houston or Georgia Tech, not 100 percent sure which. Then there's the Billy Jackson tackle during the goal line stand in the famous 6-3 bama game. Also, Don Smith down the sideline vs. Tennessee during the Felker era. hell, truth is I could have the players wrong. But I do remember the play.

There's been a bunch of them, and that's why I love being a State fan. 17 you with my foot-thick wool. And the *** you rode in on. It's great to see some football. It'll be great to see some more.

</a>A lot of people have brought up the plays that are probably my all-time favorites, but I also love huge, crushing hits leveled by our defesive players on opposing offenses.

One of the textbook hits is Josh Morgan on that Clemson WR in the 99 Peach Bowl.

That is the hit and fumble recovery to beat Alabama in 1980. People forget, because it was so long ago. However, you are talking about a team State had not beaten in over 20 years. Not to mention they were #1 and coming off a few NCs. Time running down. They are marching down the field with no problem for what looks to be the winning points. Our backs are against the goal line. Then the play........can not beat that drama, or have a better rival to be playing when that occurred.

All these plays mentioned are great. However, I don't think any were as dramatic AND had as much meaning as "BULLDOGS RECOVER! BULLDOGS RECOVER."
