Can't believe it has taken this long for someone to mention Sir Pizza. So, let me be the first to mention Sir Pizza.
Favorite chain: Gatti's Pizza.
Fave on Veteran's Day: Little Caesar's.
Favorite Local: Pinthouse Pizza and Brewery. Nice, thick pies. Innovative brews.

PJ's worst pizza on the planet...like Wicks here in Lou. Goodfellas is really good also. Papa Murphy's if you don't mind cooking it yourself us really good..
Breadsticks is a roll of bread a lot of times flavored with garlic butter, and parmesan then baked. Are they like that at Bearno's ? I have even noticed people sometimes go crazy and stuff said bread with cheese and bake it.

Oasis was, at one time, right up there with the best pizza I ever had (on 3 continents)
Austin, they've been slipping a bit - finally gave into changing the recipe for cheaper ingredients -- cheese doesn't seem like 100% Whole Milk Mozzy and the crust SUCKS now,....kinda like a wet cracker....
But I stopped in there last March and drank a pitcher
Last time I'll ever eat their pizza unless they go back to what they had

they DID however add a great back area with a deck. umbrellas and a place for live music etc
good for the growing LMU population of students
but I distrust my hometown to manage it effectively without SOMEONE embezzling money, smuggling Coca-Meth out the back door or just growing DANK right there in the flower bed
There are a lot of non chain pizza joints here -- "Upper Crust" near U of A is damn good
I ordered 3 slices and they called me off the decision --- downgraded to 2
1 slice is like a 1/3rd of a PJ's large......but gooey-NY style - crispy better
When I was stationed in Japan I was told about "Taco Pizza"
Sounded good so I ordered one -
I thought....NICE......the combination of Italy and Mexico right here in Shinjuku prefecture!!
Well -- "Taco" is the Japanese word for Octopus....none of the other asshat enlisted guys at the table told me
the pizza came with these weird black splotches all over it
and there were some kind of thin (onion?) shavings all over it that were moving/wavering from the updraft of heat
Chunks of tasteless - chewy octopus left were all over it
The sever was grinning like a GD idiot

honestly I don't remember much else about that night.......but I know I didn't eat that culinary nightmare

My daughter worked at Oasis in 2009-2010. Their crust recipe indeed changed. While I've not ordered pizza from them in years, appetizers and sandwiches seem better, in my opinion. Happily, they additionally offer craft beer on tap. Package store has improved, too.
Oasis Pizza is also approaching institution status. At least 35 years, right?
Yeah - that's about right - probably closer to 40
Best food I've ever eaten in a place with so much......well......some of the spots inside are kinda dirty and whatnot

I was all in after being fed up with last Aerospace job
Things changed / didn't happen
but I think I would have been a VERY GOOD B&B kinda guy.....
Papa John's - when you get it, do the following:
- Put some olive oil on a non-stick pan over med heat
- Put the slice of Papa J's on it until the bottom gets crispy (about 45 sec to a min).
- Flip it over and toast the cheese for about 15 seconds.
- East the slice of pizza
- Continue with remaining slices
- Get on Cat's Pause and like / bump this post
- Say a prayer thanking the Lord for Wayne Dougan
I hiked from Shawanee over to the the Gap during late November last year. Every year, I take such a hike. Olde Mill looking good these days. Y'all may have got a nice place had the deal went through. The current owners certainly could market it better and see more spring and fall business, and not just summer.
You left out the part about throwing it away and going somewhere else.
Not sure how Dominoes, Pizza Hut, papa johns stay in business to be honest. Feels like there are always at least ten other better local options that still deliver and aren't much more expensive no matter the town. Though I did love me some mad mushroom in college so I guess I contributed to the ****** pizza scene.
First, when you use my method it actually tastes pretty good.
Second, online ordering is huge.
Third, my kids love it and that's that.

I live in Athens and I email Deweys at least twice a year about starting a franchise here. I have relatives who used to live in St Louis and we would eat there every night - phenomenal place.
Athens doesnt really have a good pizza place and has several local breweries - Deweys would make a killing here.
I ate at a little hole in the wall Pizza place in NYC once and it was the best pizza I have had. I don't remember the name of the place but it was near Union Square.
The only thing that could have made this post better is if you had eaten at said place over 10 years ago.
Ate pizza at place somewhere on earth and enjoyed it. No idea where it was or if it still exists.
Since it bothered some of you so much I Google searched the map until I finally found it. It was Prince Street Pizza. Are you happy now?
BoomBozz in Clarksville is pretty good. Matt B's in Murray is outstanding. Rebecca's Pepperoni Grill in Bardstown serves up some really good pizza.
My brother in law is the co-owner and COO. They're pretty methodical about their plans, I've been on him for forever about opening in Louisville....they looked seriously before but it's finally going to happen. Going to be out in the 'burbs, not going to go head to head in the pizza heavy areas. They'll crush, but they crush everywhere they go.
