How can you post something so painfully long and not getting anything remotely correct? What world do they live in?
I really wonder who employs that guy. His employer must not know how much time he spends typing his novels. Seriously, even if the guy can type 120 words a minute, it would still take him 3 hours to type the garbage he does

DSouth delivers again! This time talking about Seventh Woods considering UNC, South Carolina, and Georgetown:

"If the kid decides to get his degree before he moves on to play for pay, something that I have heard is a real possibility then UNC is the place for him".

DSouthr went full potato a long time ago, but it's hard to argue with this logic. After all, can you think of an easier way to get a degree than at UNC?

All I was commenting on was you saying Britt was the top ranked player as his position...then his injury made him just a decent back up.

There is no way Britt went from top ranked PG to decent back up simply because of his injury. I think you should stop saying you think Britt was the top PG before his injury...anyone with a memory and sight can see there is no way someone ranked him as the top PG before his injury.
Glad you think that. However, he was I believe as a Sophmore. Just because he wasn't as good as people thought doesn't change history. I guess unless you are a revisionist.

Bingo- if he backtracks any faster he'll go into last week. He specifically said Britt was the top PG in his class before his injury- how that happens and then you're the 90th ranked player in his class is insane. Equally insane is saying you want Joel Berry as a Sr over DSJ- really?

Now having said all that- I am in the camp that thinks Berry is going to be pretty damn good. I think Roy should have played him more last year- glad he didn't. I think Berry is an All-ACC type player by the time his career at UNC is over. Might be in the minority but thats my thought on his game. He should start and be the playmaker with Paige at the 2.
How the hell do you have Joel Berry as a possible All-ACC player at UNC before his career is over and then say you wouldn't start a Senior Joel Berry over a DSJ coming off of an ACL injury? That doesn't even make sense dude and you know it. = / lol Of course, you guys will spin it like every other post to support your agenda. Haha. Just doesn't make sense. How many of you are going to tell me you would bench an ALL-ACC Duke Senior for an unproven PG coming off an ACL injury? (under your scenario?) If you all say you would, I call bs on that big time. No way in hell.

And, let's be honest. If DSJ goes to UNC, you will all be saying he isn't that good or probably won't be the same after his injury or so on anyways. C'mon guys! If you are going to irrationally bash UNC just because they are your rival, at least put some consistency behind your bashing!

You got to be kidding us. I guarantee you that no one from this board will say Dennis Smith isn't that good. That's what your board does with Duke recruits. And just for your information if one of us from this board posted something similar to what you have been posting here we would have been banned with the tombstone. Some of us don't even need to post at your board but you know that's ok. I really hope that you get to hang around a while. Sooner or later you're gonna step in it and it ain't tar you'll be stepping in. And yes I used slang on purpose. I do ralize however that you can't help it. You're a Tar Heel fan. It's your nature. Bless your heart. OFC

A Heel fan over here preaching about the hypocrisy of Duke fans while eyeball deep in denial about his own brethren. There are plenty of posters to preach to over on THR if you're wanting to hone your skills.

Let's use your scenario. Who would you rather have? A freshman Kyrie Irving starting at PG after his toe injury or Nolan Smith- beloved AA guard? I'll take Kyrie all day everyday. They don't have to be mutually exclusive. Yes I think Joel Berry is going to be a very good player- take it as the compliment it is. I think DSJ is 100000x better and yeah even off an injury. He's a top 5 kid in an absolutely loaded class. He's an exceptional talent. So while, yes I think Berry will be good in time, I think DSJ is light years better. Pretty simple.

Oh and btw, you should probably figure out that Berry is only a So. And will be a Jr when DSJ is a frosh.

How's that for being irrational?

To be honest, if Berry really is that good, which we believe he will be, and DSJr is all world, then they could both be on the court at the same time. So, no we're not saying anything bad about Berry or DSJr...we're simply saying Berry will be very good before he leaves UNC and DSJr is a level or two above that.

So there is no spin job, in fact, the spin is really coming from you. You've been spinning the whole Britt nonsense about being the #1 PG, without offering any evidence to prove it, other than to say you "think he was the top PG before is injury".

Also, there will be no one here that will say DSJr isn't that good if he goes to UNC...that can be assured.

If you want to be honest, you'd admit that there is really no chance he ends up there and that ballbag Gary doesn't know a damn thing

iamjericho,

I would like you to note that not one negative word has been said about Dennis Smith Jr. This is after Duke has essentially moved on from recruiting him too. So wherever he ends up you will not hear one person say anything negative about the young mans ability.

To say something to that effect would be an admission of one's own ignorance. Sadly, there are those out there that get emotional and say it anyway. Even though we poke fun at guys like Luke Maye, he is going to be a perfect role player. If he were a Dukie, I'd be excited to watch him play. The thing is, you can't expect him to be the next Tim Duncan. So while I will continue to jokingly reference Maye as the next top 50 all-time NBA player from UNC, I actually think he's a decent college player.

If they do say something to that effect, and i see it,i will gladly call them out for it. However, it is difficult to do that with a guy who could go in the top 10 of the draft if there was not a OAD rule in place. So you are correct, it would be very ignorant if someone went that route.

Hey, Mark, why don't you keep your stalking of me to the main board? The mods there have had enough of your crap already so go there and push it a little further and do the entire board a favor.

Topps, I stated in that thread I wasn't going to look at it for a few days. I assume that is when you posted your question. If not I just didn't see it, which is certainly possible. I don't read every post. When I do look back I'm sure I'll have something to say about it. It isn't a particularly difficult question to answer. You (speaking generically here) can call me a clown or whatever but I've never much given a crap what anyone else thought when it came to my opinion and I sure as heck don't shy away form answering questions on that board. It is generally the opposite.

As for Bradley, he is a good (and in the top 50 Mark so we can chalk up yet another think you were wrong about), and important, get but anyone rated anywhere would be right now. Until this is over the best players aren't coming to UNC.

As for Britt, he was definitely very highly rated at one point (ESPN had him as the #2 PG and #15 player in the class when he committed, though I'm not big on ESPN's ratings). Then he slid big time. Some of that was probably injury and some was probably him staying the same while other guys got better. I like the kid a lot as I think he works hard and understands what Roy wants to do but I think he is much better as a backup talent wise.

ESPN also had JP Tokoto as the number one rated player in the class at one point... That pretty much sums everything up
