i cant hold it in...i distinctly remember the downing of Findlay Prep when we were getting Thornton even though they had recruited many from there previously...and how it was shady and that they took their classes at the local elementary school (they use that site)..........now they back at Findlay recruiting....hmmmm???....now i know the coaching staff and fans on message boards are on different wavelengths, but it is amusing to see the opposite of things that are so staunchly talked about as facts

I had to think about this one: who was UNC's last one and done? The answer to that will tell you all you need to know about why their recruiting has dropped off, scandal notwithstanding.

Should have been Harrison Barnes but he decided to stay another year. Which there is nothing wrong with. He has done well for himself.

Look at Roy's championship teams and see what they consist of. At least 4 or 5 top 10 HS recruits who stayed for 3 or 4 years. The man can't win it all without elite talent staying 3 or 4 years. This speaks volumes to the OAD prospects.

From gsd.

I still think K retires after this season. I'm a 100% sure of that prediction if duke wins the championship. If duke doesn't win the championship, then I'll say I'm still at 75%.

I don't know about you guys but I appreciate the heads up. I had no idea. So is this the right time to go ahead and start our perennial "who's our next " Coach thread. OFC

Quite well, but STILL not to the stratosphere basketball "experts" pegged him....Their "Ames" (pun intended) were just a little off after he set sail with Huckleberry...Eight miles further down the road may have propelled him to the next level....

THR posters are excited about Roy's recent scholarship offer to Brandon Huffman, currently ranked 219th by 247. I wonder what excites the Carolina faithful the most? His mediocre shooting and suspect passing ability - or his monster jams over 6'3 white guys from Alaska? #GDTBATH

Lol. Just like Platek. Poor bastards over there. All they have to get excited about is garbage like that. And they still talk about how they are "seriously in it" for Bamba, Knox and PJ Washington. DSouthr was even making some crazy rationalizing about how Carter and Trent Jr. may no longer a package deal because Duke signed O'Connell and Frank Jackson might be back for a second year so that may scare Trent away and they will have a legit shot at him. Loll. I think that's how it went anyways.....Their garbage is hard to keep track of.

Heelfan58. Those darn "handlers" screw over pristine Hole Land once again. Ha haa:

"Bobby Hurley was ready to commit to UNC but Dean wanted and held out for Kenny Anderson.
David Thompson was more of a Charles Scott fan than a UNC fan and that NCSU paving machine that did his mom's driveway didn't hurt.
Jordan was more of a David Thompson fan than a moo fan and he said his 2nd choice was UVa.
You know as well as I do Bam was all about handlers."

The usual anti K crap from that A hole Archer:

i dont think K retires anytime soon....he seems to be in full GO mode and providing health stays well, he's gonna keep chasing wins, titles, and building relationships w/ kids and families imo

Fixed it for you.

Awww, didn't copy right but the "fixed it for you" was referring to that moron putting a line through the "and building relationships w/kids and families imo." that BOOGIEMAN posted over there. The guy is straight garbage.

From the unc football board the blitz with WoadBlue.

When we lost to SoCar last year, none of us were damning the refs. This game was the worst for officiating against UNC football I can recall for many years. fedora's anger that resulted in the Unsportsmanlike call was not just that the call against Heck was so obviously wrong. That simply was the bad call too many that meant Fedora could no longer control himself.

This crew was at least as bad as the Ron Cherry crew, without the comedy.

The thread is full of whining about the officiating and I could fill a page with the whine quotes from this thread alone. I wouldn't doubt if if the women's wrestling team fans whine. OFC

Can you blame them they are only team in history who would be undefeated in every except referees who are jealous of the Carolina Way

It doesn't matter if its tidley-winks, table tennis or any sporting event. They are an amazingly arrogant and egotistical fanbase over at thr. It's sickening to read the excuses they make each time they lose. I am sure they felt Duke and the refs cheated them in someway in the 82-50 classic. My goodness, after reading comments most of them made about the Georgia football game and the refs bailing Georgia out, being the worst ref screw-over some of them have ever seen it just makes me want to barf. How can any human that has even a BB sized brain believe all that crap. Its almost as bad as the Villanovia game when they were cheated.

Bur-Heel: If platek wasn't on board already..Randolph would be a done deal!!

Can't blame Brandon Randolph for having doubts; who knows if he'd get playing time before a 3-star recruit? Realistically it's hard to expect much PT when you're buried on the bench behind a program-changer, like Platek.

DeAndre Ayton committed to Arizona last night. Gary knew all along. I can't believe he withheld his sources again! Gary, you got to share that valuable piece of intel, bruh!

Not quite the way I heard it. Cal didn't want to have it look like he missed out. He was on Ayton early and would have tried to find a way to get him eligible in a heart beat --- he always has. Thing is, I've been hearing AZ thru the grapevine since mid-summer and I suspect so did Cal.

What piece of hindsight will he come up with next, that the Germans were defeated in World War II and he knew it was coming all along the last 30 years or so?

From the usual suspect Gary-7

I was with ya til you got to PJ and TX... or maybe I didn't read it right. Either way --- TX is our biggest competition for PJ, yes... and I'm thinking (hoping) Paul Sr cuts off that Findlay-to-AZ nonsense. As of now, I'm still liking our chances..BTW: I believe Roy will be hitting Vegas personally this weekend in his continuing Full-Roy-Press on PJ.

BTW: The Ayton deal represents the epitome of what I've been preaching on here about the backroom handler/AAU shenanigans. I hear some knowing whispers a while back, and bingo-bango-bongo it comes to fruition. I'll telI ya Dave, I just LMFAO at some who come on boards like this one and defend Miller --- if they believe he's playing straight I've got some prime beach-front property in Tucson I'll let em have... REAL cheap

Like everyone else says Gary must have some real Intel.

DSouthr responding to Gary -7 post I just posted above.

It is no secret that Miller is dirty, he is especially nasty in how he shares the "problems" at UNC. It isn't as if he has shown great coaching chops, he has the talent but he does a great imitation of Leonard Hamilton! The amazing thing is kids still buy his BS while he wastes the talent he gets.

But he may be the biggest competiton we have now for PJ, I am tellin ya gary, Texas has faded, not quite as far as ky has but the have faded to being well behind us. To the extent that IMO rock solid double plus plus opinion PJ plays college ball for either UNC, Arizona, or UNLV. Don't forget where ya heard it...LOL

I love how he points out that Miller is a dirty coach. The pot is calling the kettle black on that one. Lol

Way to go douchesouthr, bold of him to make a prediction that Washington will go to one of UA, UNLV or the cheats.

Isn't it amazing. What a pack of A holes. And I believe it was DSouthr that also proclaimed that UNC is at least even with Duke for Knox, if not the leader. Keep dreaming....

The stuff about Sean Miller is funny too because I could easily see him going to UNC after Roy retires. Should keep this thread open in case that happens and see them backtrack.

As for Knox- i do believe that they're right in it and I'm not sure Knox has a leader. Sounds like UK is doing a good job winning him over but who knows, I'll let others more knowledgeable speak to that.

Thr are so indignant and annoyed by this recruitment and yet Ayton wasn't even considering them in his final three. Seriously, enjoy the fact you made the final four and be content the NCAA didn't lay the hammer down.

I actually would put UNC ahead of us right now for Knox's services....but that's just me. I've been wrong a lot before, though.
