DSouthr responding to Gary -7 post I just posted above.

It is no secret that Miller is dirty, he is especially nasty in how he shares the "problems" at UNC. It isn't as if he has shown great coaching chops, he has the talent but he does a great imitation of Leonard Hamilton! The amazing thing is kids still buy his BS while he wastes the talent he gets.

But he may be the biggest competiton we have now for PJ, I am tellin ya gary, Texas has faded, not quite as far as ky has but the have faded to being well behind us. To the extent that IMO rock solid double plus plus opinion PJ plays college ball for either UNC, Arizona, or UNLV. Don't forget where ya heard it...LOL

I love how he points out that Miller is a dirty coach. The pot is calling the kettle black on that one. Lol

This would be nice to save just in case Miller becomes the next unc coach and we see what dsouther will say then. OFC

"Cat Baillou" at RR:

"Duval just eliminated the school that was 87% in his Crystal Ball - UCLA - so the CB experts are freaking out. [roll]

Meanwhile - Duke fans are claiming Quade Green submitted his transcripts to Duke and they "weren't good" - kind of their version of "we really didn't want him anyway". So he's going to have to settle for Syracuse apparently."

TarHeelNation11. Typical yet so pathetic. This is in a thread asking what the Holes need in order to win it all this year.

  • Overcoming referee bias.
  • Overcoming dSPN bias.
  • Surviving what will obviously be the hardest bracket, whilst Duke toils away in the easiest bracket.

UK fans and UNC fans are exactly like. When Memphis was playing Kansas for the national championship, Matt Jones, of KSR(Kentucky Sports Radio) said he would be rooting for Kansas because he didn't like Calipari and his cheating ways. Fast forward to when he comes to Kentucky and now the guy is a saint in his eyes.

And yet the vast majority of UK fans will continually deny such feelings towards Calipari prior to his arrival in Lexington.

This isn't a direct THR quote, but from a coworker who is a hole fan.
"The NCAA couldn't find any proof of cheating in their investigation, so they choose to punish us on the the football field and basketball court with the blatant officiating against us"
He said that with a straight face. I simply said wow.....just wow.

Yep, there used to be a thread from RR that floated around over the years entitled something along the lines of, "What's the first word that comes to mind when you hear the words John Calipari." It was page after page of responses like, "scum", "used car salesman", "sleaze bag", etc. They completely deny it now. Two faced A holes.

I have some family members who are UK fans. My cousin back in the day called Calipari a "baby faced lying prick who needs to be a man and own up to his wrongdoing". I remind him of that constantly and all I get from him is that opinions change from time to time.

Crafty gary fixing the post where dadika says there are maybe 5 teams in the country that can compete with their starting lineup. Then that idiot declares that nobody can compete with them. Lolllll, wtf can you even say??

There aren't any teams in the NCAA that can go better than those 5. .

I didn't know where else to post this, but I believe I just saw Ingram in an Adidas commercial. Being that Duke is a Nike $chool, I $uppo$e that mean$ the $hoe companie$ didn't dictate hi$ recruitment. Who knew?
You mean like Gary referring to Knox?

Yeah, Knox despite his height, has always seen himself as more of a Wing. I dunno... I'm not getting any hopes up on that front just yet. And I wouldn't count out F$U here either.

That poster is actually joking and making fun of his own board. He's a pretty reasonable guy.

If so then I missed it but it is easy to do when that is the usual narrative over there. And then the next post after that one is something like "Did you mention the preferential treatment by the NCAA?"

Nobody i saying that. It has not even been inferred that I know of. Green is interested in more programs than just Duke. Syracuse namely. That's the reason. Of course Duke wants him. They offered.

It was definitely a joke. He, I and several others on the OOTB board constantly make fun of the people who say those things. It's a running joke.

But guesses are exactly what they are, no dis-respect toward Clint or anyone else but when you are dealing with what a 17-18yr old kid is going to do it is always a guess until it is done. It is not a prediction, Clint or no one else looks in to their crystal ball to see the future, if they could they would win the lotto every time there is a drawing. Educated guesses for sure but don't get carried away with calling something a prediction that isn't, call it what it is, an educated guess.

I think and would hope that Clint would be the first to tell you that it is not an exact science, that things change and at times rapidly. Just because someone does not agree with what Clints on a kid does not make that person wrong, it simply means one looks at something differently than another. Clint has great sources and works them hard for information but at times others can glean some information that Clint is not aware of.

To many seem so quick to toss out any information not gleaned from someone that has an expert tag associated with them. I take in information from all corners, I don't discount anything, this isn't a winners & losers type of thing, it is nothing but information sharing and you pick and chose what you feel is solid and what is not.

He takes in information from all corners. Lol! No wonder he and Gary are so good when it comes to having the inside scoop:D

If you do not weed out the "insiders' from good to bad, well that is the first mistake. I can tell you with 100% certainty that if Clint says something close to definitive, I am going to back him all the way. (mainly because he rarely voices his opinion on things until he is sure his opinion is based off more than back of the line info.) i am also not ever going to take what a guy like Gary has to say over an expert in his field (a vertywe ll respected expert mind you) in Clint. There is a reason Clint is pad by two web sites and a top recruiting service for his work.

I wonder how much they pay gary-7 for his inside information. OFC

gary must fetch a pretty penny for his inside info. AAU circuit guys and all, gary has a 97% success rate as far as recruiting/what Roy said and believes info.

The sad thing is the other THR posters ACTUALLY believe him and DSouthr's posts when it comes to recruiting. I mean.. How many times have they been right when it comes to recruiting and their "inside information and sources"? Lol!!

Gary-7 originally claimed that there was no way Wendell Carter would even consider Duke. He claimed Carter was a "Roy" kind of guy, whatever that means.

I wonder if he still feels the same way.

I believe it was the great Douchesouthr that said Giles was a tarhole, "born and bred". There was no way his family would allow him to go to Duke.

Those guys have excellent sources. I'm sure their sources were correct, until handler$ got involved and caused Roy to back off.

I've seen those "Roy kind of guys" and "unc kind of players" and the "carolina type player" garbage so many times my stomach is turning. I want someone to please tell me what is "a carolina kind of player" and a "Roy kind of guy"? I think they usually mean a 3 or 4 year kind of player thats not good enough to leave after a season or two.

Also, cryolina is so blessed in having gary-7 as the unc "insider" instead of someone like Clint. It must be saving the thr faithful a ton of money on a premium memberships.

Roy just visited and offered a kid outta Auburn, AL --- Garrison Brooks.

4* 6'9, been rising in profile some... word has been Pearl was making a push. Wondering if it's a "wait a while" offer, as I suspect Huffman's may be? Hmm...

OK seriously guys we need to keep an eye on this. You head it first right here via gary-7. He won't be a four star long now that hof coach roy williams has his hound dog nose ( now we know why we refer to him as Huckleberry Hound Dog) on this trail. Could he be the next tyler hansbrough, jon henson, marvin williams, brandon wright well maybe not williams or wright both were OAD, james worthy, brice johnson, sam perkins or heaven forbid kenned meeks, easy ed davis, oops he was OAD also I believe. hof roy williams just doesn't recruit those OAD'S you know. We may have a problem here guys. I'm gonna follow gary-7's assessment very closely. How in the heck fire did Coach K miss this guy. I got to research this kid. OFC

Ned Cota: Roy is already in the HOF but even more credit needs to be given to him for keeping us above all of the negativity. NCAA championship games. Players in the first round of the draft. 5 star recruits. Developing 3 and 4 star guys into All Americans. The guy does it all with a smile on his face and I feel bad for anybody who doesn't see it. Dean will always be number 1, but Roy will always be number 2.

Developing 3-star guys into All Americans? Wow. Has Roy ever developed any of his 3-star player into legitimate starters? Brice is his lowest-ranked recruit to receive All-American honors. But evidently he develops less-talented players into superstars on a regular basis. #thrlogic

At least He does it all with a smile on his face. Integrity, always.

Yes, buy Gary-7 has something Clint doesn't. A coaching mafia.

It's true, Gary does have a coaching mafia working with him. His inside sources are incomparable. It just sucks that he withholds recruiting intel with everyone until after the recruit gives a verbal commitment. What a tease!

In Gary's own words:
there's a lot of inside stuff I only discuss with my mafia and/or a few trusted board folks via DM or email, honestly largely because I get sick of dealing with lame passive-aggressive commentary.

How about developing pre-season All - Americans and pre-season ACCPOY during their soph. years into not getting drafted by the time they are seniors.
