I have a Genesis so I will have to check out Polterguy. I actually like horror and was looking for games that came out pre Resident Evil/Silent Hill. There are a few, Like Halloween and Friday the 13th, but most of them were goofy before RE. Zombies ate my Neighbors for SNES is fun, but not scary.

Not playing much but I have found a lot of entertainment in watching gamers on YT in the past year.

Gopher has become my fav. He's a funny dude. He does a great job of becoming the character and selling the walkthru as an actual story, complete with character flaws and introspect. He reads all the dialog as earnest convo and conveys his thought process as the character. He uses the camera to convey emotion and inject realism. He's really good at it for an older Brit.

Lately i have been playing old fighting games. Like Tekken 2, Soul Calibur, and Street Fighter 3. Also Battle Arena Toshindon and Rival Schools. Last night I played the original Twisted Metal, which is still my favorite one. The Suburbia level was the first open world type level I remember playing.

Was playing Ridge Racer, then Ridge Racer Revolution. Pretty perfect racing series. Tonight, Rage Racer. Not the deepest games, but a true arcade experience. Also played Final Doom. Man those skeleton revnants freak me out.

Have been into games since I got my first Atari back in the early 80s. If I had to pick a favorite from all these years of playing, I would have to say Borderlands 2. Insane replay value. Fast paced and lots of action and character development.

Favorite Atari game? Mine are Super Breakout and Bezerk.
Last night I played Beauty and the Beast on Intellevision. Its a Donkey Kong clone. You make your way up the building when the windows open.

I almost bought a PS3 just for The Show. I do have a 360, but the 2K baseball games are awful. The EA game is backwards compatible so I can play on my 360, but it's glitchy.

I'm an xbox guy. I have the onex. I have heard the biggest difference is not so much graphically as it is load times. Almost instantaneous. I'll stick with what I have for the time being.
Yeah I'm a Xbox guy too...its still pretty hard to find the new ones (other than the all digital) and right now there's not much difference bc there hasn't been as much development over the past year for next gen from big studios bc of the pandemic (why make a game if no one can get a system)

I think everything is backwards compatible on the new one, right?

PS still gets some exclusives and Xbox doesn't really have any except halo, or that I would play, but the last PS I had was the 2 so I've just stuck with Xbox since

Yeah I think everything is backwards compatible. I used to be a PS guy. When the 360 came out I never looked back. I like the interface better on the xbox. Only thing I like about Playstations is the controller. The xbox is a tad too bulky for my liking.

You can play 360 games on series X? Interesting. I have a lot of 360 games and it would be nice not to have to completely start over my collection.

This looks like it’s going to be great.

Looks awesome. I've always liked the ww2 settings in shooters better than current events. Cut my teeth on the original COD on a cpu I built. Online play was great. I'm a single player guy now. Got tired of all the aim bots and run and gun/ jumping all the time. I was always a sniper who would hang back and inflict damage.

Oh man, that game was very memorable. Apartment full of friends getting buzzed and playing split screen. Good times

my buddy got me hooked on it. Didn’t help that he had a literal Arsenal around his house and we d get amped and go blow up buckets of tannerite at his ranch in Durango.

Tannerite is dangerous. Been around some guys shooting a stump filled with it. Wow it shook my insides but was cool as hell.

Playing Metroid Zero Mission on GBA tonight. Really good game, a remake of the original Metroid with Super Metroid type graphics.

wish I could find a GPU to play all these games on my PC. **** this shortage **** man. BFV 2042 is coming out and that looks hype as hell. But this new cod looks eh. Cod has been *** for 6 years now. If this game sucks i’m done with the franchise.

I hear you but I’m a sucker for World War Two games. New Battlefield looks awesome too.

The funniest part is that you can still play most games with new Xbox owners. NHL, Battlefield, Smite, ESO, Diablo.. all my friends play together and it's a mix. Almost no reason to have purchased the new Xbox last year.. at least that I can think of.

PS has a ton of great exclusives I want to try. If anything, I'll keep the Xbox One until I no longer can, and get the PS5 if available.

Lately it's been:

NHL22.. virtually the same as 21. Still not good at it.

Back 4 Blood... a little let down with this. They did a horrible job explaining the card system and the gun play is a bit erratic. It lost something IMO since the early Left For Dead games..

Smash Brothers Ultimate.. got a deal on this. Lot of fun. Nice pick up and play game.

Quake remastered... never actually played the original. But a ton of content. The singe player has to be 30+ hours with all the expansion packs.
