I watched the first half of the Favre vs. Mendenhall game tonight and Favre has a really quick release, as well as a strong arm. I saw him complete 4 passes for over 30 yards, one of which was about a 50 yard pass. He hit guys in the numbers consistently. Most of the time he hit his receivers in stride. It was an impressive performance. He was a man among boys from what I saw tonight.

Now the negative. He does not look like he is tall enough to be a true SEC caliber quarterback.

32-50 549 yards, 6 TD Passes, 0 INT, 1 TD run.

That is a pretty impressive line. I did hear he was retiring after this year though.

And can he run?
He is taller than Henig and even Tyson Lee. State clocked him at 4.65 at the Top Dog camp at the end of July. He squats over 450, benches over 325 and from talking to his coaching staff and some college coaches, has the intangibles to be successful.

Ask Mangino if Reesing is successful or Grothe at South Florida.

PS - Favre is as tall as Drew Brees. He's not too shabby either.

In other words, do they have an offensive line worth a ****? Because I'm pretty sure Prep won't have much trouble moving the ball.

Favre and company will score some points on anyone they play. So far they have allowed only 7 points this season. Mendenhall looked small and slow compared to Favre's team. Favre had a good offensive line, and he has a very quick release. He throws the deep ball extremely well for a high school quarterback. Hits his receivers consistently in stride 40 to 50 yards down field.

I say he get's sack a minimum of 4 times. Prep D-Line is very fast and that O-Line is going to have the same problem as all school will have with Prep defense. They don't look real big but man are they fast. Prep is one of the best coach football teams in the State, both public and private. They don't have the most talent but they are coach very well. They played North West Rankin which is a 6A school in the jamboree and NW Rankin did not score. Washington Academy did not score and MRA who beat the crap out of Yazoo County High school did not score. They have always been a finesse team and always will. The problem many these public school have with Prep is the fact Prep is private and they get that mind set until the first snap of the ball and then they go into shock and can't recover.

300+ through the air on Prep, the question is can St. Stan's D stop Prep?
