It must be bad to be bullied when you are home schooled. It's almost like the comedian who said he was an only child that was home schooled and still didn't graduate at the top of his class. If the kid is at home, how is he embarrassed and humiliated?

Hope people file an endless line of lawsuits over what happened to kids in this state. In every one of them, they should make the kea a defendant too.
You do realize that the individual teachers and principals won't have to pay? So all the money won comes from the public including other parents in the same situation.
Then they'll just raise our property taxes without our say. They did it for no reason before, they definitely do it if this happenedHope people file an endless line of lawsuits over what happened to kids in this state. In every one of them, they should make the kea a defendant too.
Yes money won't heal the past, but its the only thing that hurts and hopefully will prevent this from happening again.

Haven’t you heard? Money fixes everything. Got a problem? Throw more money at it. That’s the KEA way!I’m not sure how money is going to fix anything, but go ahead. There’s no excuse for not providing services. I saw all of our spec. ed teachers going waaaaay beyond even what the regular classroom teachers did. It starts with the principal(s) making sure everyone is accountable. That includes gifted services too.
Actually most of it will come from their Educators Legal Liability insurance which every school district in Kentucky has. Fayette County used to have a $25K deductible so any large awards will be covered. You do realize that the individual teachers and principals won't have to pay? It doesn’t start with the principal(s). It starts with the governor who locked schools down. It starts with the KEA which is rotten to the effin’ core. It starts with the FCPS school board that effed things up even worse. Then...and only then...does it trickle down to the principal(s) making sure everyone is accountable once they were forced into an NTI situation that was both avoidable and unsubstantiated.
It’s rather simple...
Kids should have been in school in person.
Fayette County Public Schools was just awarded $11 million in Cares Act money from the federal government. Yet, the board is of course asking to raise our property taxes due to money issues. You can see how much your county is getting here:
This. This. This. Those in positions of leadership who decided to cowtow to the mob and act out of cowardice and self preservation should be held accountable. What this country just went through over a bunch of damn nonsense is absolutely despicable. I realize this is a school specific thread, and while I don't have kids, O can't imagine what parents had to deal with during this bs. The lockdown certainly affected my mental health, I've had to start taking antidepressants because of all this. Kids aren't meant to be locked up and not socialized, especially over the stupidity of Covid. We can start by holding Beshear accountable and voting his *** out in a landslide. If Bevin hadn't been so irascible we wouldn't even be having that convo. The public should be demanding resignations from those in leadership positions.
Not surprised. Hopefully the new Superintendent comes on and cleans up the disaster of administration and school board for Fayette County Schools. Covid brought to the surface so many issues that have always been there.
