All I can say is it is about damn time. It took 6 episodes to get where I thought it should have been about 3 episodes ago. I liked the traveling through the Los Angeles River while showing the freeway overrun with vehicles. Felt kinda like the scene in Atlanta of TWD where all the cars are piled up trying to leave the city while the way in is completely clear.

So what do you all think of the black dude (Strand) in the suit? What kind of background do you think he has? Seems like maybe some kind of kingpin of a drug cartel or something. Even commented on liking the drug addict because he was a heroine addict and would do whatever it takes.

So where do you all think they are going if they all get on the boat? Any islands off the coast of California before you get to Hawaii? Why would they leave an island if it is secluded unless they run out of supplies? It would make for a really slow storyline for a while just like when Rick's group got to the prison and the whole thing with the Governor and Woodbury.

Hopefully they build off of this episode and keep the action up, but going by the way TWD was done, they will slow it right back down for a while.

I think they're just going to chill on Catalina until the aqua zombies hit at the end of season two.

OK, the last episode was awesome. Now thats what I wanted to see. Best scene of the series..."You had better save your ammo". The bitten soldiers suicide into the chopper blade gets bonus "gore" points.

Been watching this **** show trying to see if it gets better. It's not.

Drug addicted looking Johnny Depp and and a dad that looks like Kumar from the white castle movies make me angry.

I hope they all die. and f*** Carl.

Finally some gore lol
Last show was solid, likely to help get people to tune back in later.

Like others said, death by chopper rotor
Killer line "better save your ammo" or something like that
and he shoots ex wife at the end.

Solid episode after much anticipation for it.

Original show starts now so we have that.

Forgot my favorite part,
Where the rich dude retrieves his cuff-links and tells the guard he could keep the watch. Deal is a deal, all while the guard is being eaten legs first .

The Drug addicts character will have 1 of two paths of development. Either A he will be become the bad *** / Rick Grimes leader by the end or 2. He'll become strong and a protector of the group to die a shocking death. Its a path writers just can't pass up because its such a fulfilling one as a viewer and writer.

Fear The Walking Dead pretty much gave me everything I wanted to see in season one - the first flare ups of the disease and peoples initial shoulder shrug response to it, the avalanche of humanity as the zombies begin to take over. The Army's initial response of helping people which quickly turns into a dictator situation as rogue commanders begin developing Napoleon complexes and begin to devalue human life. The defeat of the military response as their members begin to splinter away to be with their own families. The first zombie horde of TWD universe and the survivors banding together and looking for the best place to get away from the outbreak and wait out the storm. I was hoping they would involve an ocean escape for this show and I believe that is what we're going to get in season two. So far, you can't really ask for much more than what we were given.

Some people are complaining and were wanting something close to what we get with TWD now, but if it were just like TWD, then there'd be no reason for FTWD, right?

Boring season opener, why I'm still watching this train wreck of a show is beyond me. I keep hoping a zombie hoard takes out 90% of the cast and some better actors take over.

I already commented in The Walking Dead thread (forgot about this one) so I won't repeat it here. I do have a new question though. Why is it the zombie apocalypse takes place in the U.S., but it seems like 75% (just throwing a random number out there) of the actors are from other countries? Could they not find any American actors worthy of these roles?

Zombies in water. More ********. So zombies can control the motion of water like they were doing in the new teaser? That's a new one. Being on an island is the best place to be at. In reality, no zombies are climbing aboard boats or floating on islands. Most of the scavenger fish would be loving the new food source.

Horse ****. Just another damn thing to get me angry this early in the morning.

Andrew Lincoln does a pretty darn good American country accent to be British.

I enjoy the black dude. Only guy on the damn show with any common sense. Hope he lives a long time and the rest of em die.

It is refreshing to see someone with common sense on one of these shows. The rest of that crew would have been dead if not for him and they still think their in charge.

If they don't start getting us in touch with some of the characters like we are with the walking dead, then no one will care what happens to any of them. If that damn boat sank next week and killed them all I really wouldn't care. But it's killing me to find out who Neagan smacked!!

Ya know. You could get renewable energy out of zombies once they are controlled. They could be like one big giant hamster wheel. I could see a wind, solar, zombie, water as a source of energy. Of course it wouldn't last. Some prick would eff it up.

If I were the black dude, I'd tell them all to get the touch off my boat. My guess is he works for the Mexican cartels and they need living bodies for something.

From the beginning I thought he was a higher level person in the illegal drug business, but with the zombie apocalypse going on, I don't see a reason for drug cartels to stay in operation. If he needs living people for something why didn't he pick up the boat full of people in the last episode? It is hard to figure out what his deal really is. He says it is his boat earlier on, but then says "a" boat instead of "his" boat. I think it clearly belongs to his employer.

So who is his employer? Are the cartels in some kind of new business? Is he a covert agent of some kind with a secret mission? A terrorist who was partially responsible for the outbreak? Why was he going to San Diego and then Mexico? Why does he need a machine gun unless he is an agent or criminal? Does the Latino guy have him figured out since he to seems to have a shady past?

Lots of questions left to be answered. Hopefully we lose a member or two of the dysfunctional family very soon.
