Feeling a little better about CB depth...

SEEN: Another good day for Omaha Creighton Prep walk-on cornerback Jeremiah Stovall. He had an interception during a drill when he mirrored NU freshman Jaevon McQuitty, broke on the ball quickly and outmuscled McQuitty for the pick. Later, Stovall ran stride-for-stride with Conor Young on a go route, popping the ball free from Young as the two came down.

SEEN: Lamar Jackson playing a quick hitch pass to perfection, jumping all over the play and stuffing it for zero gain. --- Redshirt freshman Tony Butler worked at corner in Thursday's practice after playing safety last season. Big corner -- 6-2, 215. #Huskers

Stovall sounds like the real deal giving us a solid 4 deep for both corner positions. Also Tony Butler practicing at CB now giving a little more depth.

C'mon man! Walk-on white kid at CB? We've been down this path before and it doesn't end well...

The fact that Kalu is staying at safety should tell us something, also thank goodness for the walk on program

Just realized that Stovall wasn't even a preferred walk-on. When was the last time a "try-out walk-on" started for NU?
Sounds like he won't be a walk on much longer...

Edit: not that I've heard anything, just saying if he is two deep at CB, a scholarship will be coming soon.

Translation > our QBs suck and our WRs can't get any separation

You would think, but maybe he was injured or playing out of position or something. Maybe he grew/filled out a lot in the last couple of years.
There could have been other issues involved but who knows. Some kids get small school offers but decide they want to go to a larger university for academic or social reasons(me for one back in the day). He was presented an opportunity and took it. He's a very good athlete one way or another scholarship or not. The Haas kid moving to safety shouldn't be discounted either. That kid can play too.

Will Avery ever truly get into the mix or will new recruits bury him in the next class or two? Had high hopes for him but Lee is showing more from that duo

Avery is in the mix so to speak but he actually seems to be a bit if a "tweener"...CB size, S-like skill set. As of right now he is in the top five corners.
