THE BEAST GOES DOWN TONIGHT!!!!!!!! That's right, this weeks pick is the Vikings of Homewood Flossmoor over the "Greatest Team in Illinois History" Griffins of Lincoln Way East. Yes, it's a home game for LWE. Yes, they are the top ranked team in the state. Yes, Henning is back from injury. Yes, they are one of the best teams in the country. BUT.......... HF has all the weapons needed to beat them. HUGE o-line, with a great running game. Monster defense, with a combination of big guys up front and speed in the d-backfield. The most important thing they have, is Swag. HF expects to win this game tonight, and they will. Final score, HF 27 - LWE 24. That's my upset. What are your thoughts, and who is your upset?

Again not sure if this is an upset either but I like New Trier over Evanston
I’ll agree that HF is a much better team than we’re used to but so are we. Our coaching staff is awesome and will have our young men prepared. Our defense is all around better than last year, and our offense has weapons everywhere. Special teams are amazing. We are quality 2 deep EVERYWHERE. Not much fall off. I believe this will be a game won with discipline and few mistakes. I have LWE by 2 TD’s. GO BLUE!

Hey! The "Eh" thing is mine! But I do feel vindicated.
I have seen the 2 closest games of both LWE & HF.
- kicking game hiccups were in evidence in the 2 HF games which could be magnified in a game like this.
- HF was able to come up with game-changing defensive TDs in each game - something difficult to count on weekly, however.
- Getting 2 scares in the 1st five games (including going down to a 4th down walk-off score in OT) could actually be an advantage for HF compared to LWE who has not had a team come within 19 points.

1. Series record!!!
* Neuqua 15 wins in the series
* Waubonsie 7 wins in the series.
Obviously Neuqua wins 2 of every 3 games so there is no way WV can be favored in this match up!! Advantage Neuqua!!
2. I will take a page from the FVC guys:
* Neuqua is 12A classification!
* Waubonsie is just a couple hundred kids from 7A.
Size - advantage Wildcats!!
3. Last meeting when WV was playing at home was basically a pickem game. 17-10 and just as easily could have been 17-17 and heading to OT. Advantage - neutral to both teams
4. It’s a rivalry game! Doesn’t matter who is favored - weird **** happens all the time! And usually the weird **** is negative for WV (reference series record of 15-7). Advantage - Neuqua!
5. It is very difficult to beat an evenly matched team twice! Just ask the NV guys from the 2015 team during WVs Cinderella march to the semis!! Advantage Neuqua (due to WVs game 1 win).
6. Neuqua is at home for this match up. Advantage - Neuqua
Your honors I rest my case....WV is a HUGE dog in this one!
I like our matchup with PR next week though. And I will be taking WV as my Feeto upset next week (if WV is not victorious and pulls the upset win tonite) - they will be the dog next week as PR will be ranked and WV will not be)

All the more reason for my saying discipline will win this game. I think HF play’s very loose at times and that will hurt them. I like our coaching staff better in that our players will be better prepared for tonight’s game. Go BLUE!

Kaneland 2 weeks in a row with the upset...over DeKalb last week 21-20 and last night over Sycamore 28-7. Wins over two ranked teams in two weeks...don't rank us now please, we like being the underdogs....
