That's not the beach, it is an abandoned quarry lake that is now stormwater retention for the campus and a water ski lake. But still not bad for a view from the dorm. The School is on the east side of I75 half way between Naples and Ft. Myers.
It's mostly a commuter college for kids that cant get into UF, FSU, UCF, etc. Or are just too big a babies to leave home. FGCU has done an amazing job building to 15k students in less than 15 years. their baseball, golf and swim teams are very good and the basketball team has already beat the U this year. The aquatic center is very nice.
Academics are meh
