The 2-1 Louisville Field Hockey match against Virginia was a definite thriller yesterday! The Cards got the win in the final 10 seconds. Freshman midfielder Charlie Van Oirschot intercepted a Virginia feed, got the ball to Mercedes Pastor, who found charging Madison Walsh and Walsh sent a shot tight through the legs of the Virginia goalkeeper to take the lead. The Cards are 7-0 now and end the fall slate of the season next Friday at Syracuse.
Today, the Cards are on the ACC Network, starting with Women's Soccer hosting Notre Dame at 1:30 -- then Volleyball at Syracuse at 3:30.
