Fight breaks out at jail between 2 women visiting same inmate

Two women who went to visit a Washington Parish Jail inmate on the same day ended up facing their own legal troubles after authorities say they attacked each other during the visit.


Angie, visited Washington Parish Jail last week (Jan. 20) to see inmate Brenton Morris, according to a release from the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office did not identify the relationship between Morris and the two women. At some point during the visit, the pair had some sort of "disagreement" that turned violent, the sheriff said.

Hair was pulled and Myres, producing a box cutter, slashed Scott across her face and ear, the sheriff said. Deputies separated the women. Morris, behind a steel and glass partition at the time, had no involvement in the fight, the sheriff said.
