It's all about what you willing to settle for. If you are satisfied with winning Western Division crowns regularly with an SEC tourney trophy every 2 or 3 years, then Stans is your guy.

If you want MSU to take the next step and make some noise on the national stage in the NCAA tourney (the one that matters), then you should realize by now that Stans isn't going to get us there. With the talent that is available to us within the state year in and year out, I think that MSU could take it to the next level with a better coach. That being said, I have no idea what coaches are out there for us to get. The PR nightmare of canning a coach that has brought us so many trophies for the cabinet might be too much to overcome.

Now, let's focus on the football game and knock Bama and Little Nicky off their pedestals.

to know that one game does not make a season. Furthermore, I will never understand some of comments about Stansbury that I hear from time to time. However, if for whatever reason Stans and the Bulldogs fail to make the NCAA tournament this year, I will be 100% in favor of going in a new direction. He has shown numerous signs of sliding and quite frankly losing the team over the past few years, but he always seems to catch a spark at just the right time to restore confidence. This season, though, there is absolutely no excuse for not having a great year.

I will not condemn him yet because there's a long way to go this year, but again, if he fails to go to the tournament this year or possibly even sneaks in and gets beat in the first round, I will admit that it's time for a change.

I think we're left with very few options as far as a change is concerned, even assuming there is enough groundswell to affect Byrne. He's been here 12 years as head alleged coach and 20 overall. Helluva loyal guy. Just successful enough to keep the blue hairs satisfied. Hell it took over 5 years to get rid of an obviously overmatched, incompetent, lazy as hell, fool like crxxms. I don't know what you do.

I don't know why people can't just be patient. If the guy gets things together, fantastic, we'll be winning. If not and the guy ultimately fails, our AD will do what is necessary. There is absolutely no reason to overreact after one game. Here's a novel approach, let's actually wait and see what happens.

If Sidney gets cleared and we go on to have a great season, rather than enjoying the year and everyone being happy, we'll have to hear about how "lucky" Stansbury was that Sidney was able to play and about how his job was saved.

Peaches has never been able to just enjoy MState success. He's always waiting for us to fail so he can gloat about it. I've never understood that and never will. I really enjoyed going to a bowl game in 2007 even though it was a fluke. I enjoyed winning the SEC Tourney last year. If you cannot enjoy winning at MSU you really need to just quit being an MSU fan. Of course, this is the same guy that unleashed on a guy on the same day his son was born.
