I know this has been re-hashed multiple times, but I figured it could be fun. What team and where in the draft do you think Banks and Slay land? (Feel free to also throw out your projections for Boyd, Lawrence, Bumphis, etc.)

I'm going with a wooly pick and saying Minnesota takes Banks at 25 tonight and Atlanta takes Slay at 30.

I'll try my hand

I think the Pats will trade their 1st round pick back, stockpile picks, and take Banks somewhere in the 32-40 range.

I see Slay getting drafted in the 45-55 range, not sure by who, but I think mid to late 2nd round. Possibly Pittsburgh at 48.

After that I think it's a crap shoot in terms of Boyd and Bump because of how far back they are. I think Boyd will get drafted. Not sure Bumphis will, but I think 6th or 7th round if he does. I doubt Lawrence gets drafted.

Banks to either the Pats or Falcons

The Pats may trade away their 1st rd picks and get him in the Second Round or the Falcons take him at the end of the 1st round. Slay goes in the Second Rd to the Vikings (total guess).

Slay to the Falcons in Round 1

That's my prediction....and I hate it, because I despise the Dirty Birds. At least the Saints have a ton of other people they can throw to when playing ATL.

Somebody will get a steal with Banks in mid-Round 2.

Slay in the first round?

The only picks worth mentioning are the bold ones...

And I honestly think if he goes there, the Falcons would get good value.

Of course, if this really happens, I expect to be treated like the King of Message Board Prognosticators - and I'll wait until then to explain how I "knew it was going to happen."

Slay's stock is higher at the moment than Banks. That's how the draft goes, got to peak at the right time.

2nd for both realistically

The train was rolling strong for Slay in the first until the story of his tattered meniscus broke. After I read it, given the timing, I wondered if it was somebody trying to do a smear campaign. This would guarantee a team (the Falcons) getting him in the 2nd instead of the late first.

al.com (or the Huntsville times) yesterday had their predictions. They had Banks at 50 and Slay at 62, as I recall. Probably a bit biased toward Alabama and Auburn.

I think they had Banks to the Skins and Slay to Atlanta.

Didn't realize Slay came out as having a torn meniscus. Although it may be a minor injury, you hate for news like that to come out right before the draft. I hope that doesn't hurt his stock much. He seems to be a hard-working, great guy.
