FINAL: Robert E. Lee-Staunton 40 Rockbridge County 35

Both teams are playing good ball for this early in the season. Rockbridge had a bit of trouble stopping the run, but they look better than I've seen in years. Their QB is a nice talent with great instincts.

RE Lee, while not as talented as last year, did not show many weak links. I much prefer a solid team from top to bottom without big stars over a team with a couple of D1 prospects and mediocrity in other positions.

If Lee wants to have any hopes of another successful post-season run, their defense is going to have to step it up a bit.

It looks like every game is going to be a shoot out!

My opinion is that Lee and East Rock are mirror images in regards to Defense. There isn’t a question on their ability to score but they have to be able to stop teams and so far that’s still in doubt.

My observation (only from seeing today's conclusion) was that Lee could not stop the pass, Rockbridge could not stop the run, and the refs could not stop throwing the flags.
