..you can play Belhaven & Spring Hill & everybody still provides you a high RPI & the tournament soothsayers have you a 5 seed in the tournament.

If MSU played Belhaven & Spring Hill, ESPN would petition congress to keep MSU's RPI in the 80's & Lunardi would have MSU a 14 seed playing in the North Pole regional.

USM fans need to start a campaign to get UAB in the Big East. If you can't beat them, try and get rid of them.

Don't act like MSU is head and shoulders above USM. We don't have the SEC card but we sure do put out a similar product in all 3 sports. Ole Miss, MSU, and USM are all pretty equal when you consider on the field/diamond/court performance. Let's just leave it at that.

especially in the last couple of decades. I don't think you'll hear too many else that will agree though.

I think some of what we have to overcome is what MSU has to with Ole Miss. Ole miss thinks they are superior to us both. State fans are pretty cool but Ole miss fans will go up to you in public and come up with some kind of crazy reason about how a 2 game win season makes them better than us. It's pretty crazy. I'd say State and USM are both better than Ole Miss.

That's absurd! MSU has 8 Omaha's USM has 1. MSU has 11 NCAA basketball appearances USM will have its 1st since 1991 if they don't choke. Football is the only program they have had more success in the last ten years and it's because they play in a **** conference. USM hasn't been in the NCAA basketball tournament in 20 17ing years.

...In baseball, MSU recently beat USM in the Atlanta Regional. So +1 for MSU.

Historically, MSU is something like 12-4 vs. USM in basketball, so I can only hope & pray we get to play you in the NCAA tournament.

MSU will play you in football in 2014, & we get to settle that one finally.

I don't see it as "pretty equal" at all. Neither does the data.

I'm only talking on the hypothetical of if all 3 teams played each other annually in all sports on how competitive they may be. I'm not really looking at accolades. USM's biggestAchillesheel in about the last few years has really been basketball. Baseball and football have been their strengths. Football has definitely not been our strong parts and had we played them in that time, I wouldn't be too willing to bet against the possibility of them having a winning record against us and Ole Miss.<div>
</div><div>Again.. I'm not thinking about exactly what all either team has accomplished. I'm only looking at the possible competitive records, and I think they would be fairly close with all 3 sports combined. Of course, some sports will be in some schools favors, but all of them together wouldn't look as bad.</div>

If I could sell the **** they're on, I could make a killing
I'd love for that to happen but it's just wishful thinking. Sadly we do deserve a better conference but Mississippi just isn't a sellable market.

conversations in the last twenty years. It's not even close. Also, I ***** about the Hump crowd but you could hear a mouse fart at a USM game and he'd have good seats for free.

Their football and baseball programs are at least respectable to me. Basketball has honestly gotten better within these past what... 3 years? To say their basketball program has been in the ******* is an understatement.

We are not on the same level as MSU in basketball and will likely never be. Baseball is where we are the closest to being the same, currently. Historically, MSU is one of the better programs in the south.
