Dominating way to open the season

Not shocked that Sherando won, but I expected a better showing from Amherst than that. Tough way to open the season.

Amherst had several fumbles that made it hard for them to keep a drive going, but I expected them to compete more than they did with how many close losses they had to good teams last year. I wouldn't say Sherando looked exceptional on either side of the ball, but they were solid and consistent. A lot like last year's team.

I was happy with the performance , lots of new Starters and dominated the game from beginning to end. No turnovers for Sherando in game one and should have had running clock at halftime without a missed extra point. Amherst has some athletes and they will hit you. Tough test against Loudoun County on the road next week , will have to be better to win that one.

The guy taking the snaps for Amherst was super quick, but Sherando was getting to him before he had a chance to get going.
