What a conference... Is it too late to get them in CCL/ESCC?
Rebuilding for what? They’d be in one of the lower tiers playing similar teams and can work their way up. That conference stinks on ice.I could see them coming back in after a few years rebuilding.

Datta boy! So positive...you are better than that.Rebuilding for what? They’d be in one of the lower tiers playing similar teams and can work their way up. That conference stinks on ice.

I’m not even criticizing the move. I didn’t like it then and I don’t now BUT they did what they thought was best. The landscape is different now. Time for them to take 3 other teams and add a division to CCL/ESCC, they are only a shell of what they will be and already ran thru conference sans IC.No arguement there Irish LB but the CCL was a different landscape for them AC etc only a mere 6 weeks ago.
Oh no. Not that goof. I have him on ignore and it’s glorious.Magnum,
I’m curious as to where you’ll transfer to next year?
Datta boy! St. Francis...obviously!Magnum,

With all that said I don’t want to diminish the job by McMillen and co, they really did a fantastic job in short order.
You’re aware there will be a conference that will be something like Leo, DePaul, St Joes and Marian right? SF could compete just fine in CCL/ESCC.@Irish LB - your statements are mixed and erroneous. To say "that conference stinks on ice" is foolish when it has the possibility to produce state champions in 4A (IC), 3A (Bmac if they make the 3A cut) and 1A (AC).
St. Francis has improved but their 7-2 record is misleading. They played two weak sisters out of conference to start the season. They barely won a game vs. a 1A school who played without a QB in the 2nd half.
Sparty will be much improved next year. They have a young team. Let them get on their feet again before proposing a move back to the CCL/ESCC.

The conference stinks when looking at a program like SF. For a school like AC it’s appropriate. You say the conference has the possibility of producing state champs in 3 different classes. Lots of conferences have that possibility right now. A proud 5a program the likes of SF shouldn’t be playing 1a schools, ever. You’re entitled to your opinion but when Elmwood Park is 7-2, Fenton wins 4 games and Chicago Christian goes 6-3 your conference stinks in my book.
Because I felt like it? What’s the point of majority of the conversations that take place here? Don’t like it don’t respond. They left the CCL, what’s the point of talking about it? Maybe they will ask to join the new conference in the future, who knows?

Because he didn’t want to...Why don’t you start a thread about it or post in the other 20 CCL Conference realignment threads instead of hijacking the StF/ ACC game thread?
I posted about SF, if you don’t like it don’t respond, it’s quite simple really. I will post what I see fit, I apologize you and others are so soft. Why don’t you start a thread about it or post in the other 20 CCL Conference realignment threads instead of hijacking the StF/ ACC game thread?

So evidently people want to turn this into something it’s not, but you know what I’m gonna dig in. That conference is bad for SF, I need someone to explain to me how playing in a conference with exactly 3 decent teams all of which are typically 3a or below will help St Francis get ready for the 5a playoffs. It won’t, the conference is not a good fit and is a bad conference for a 5a playoff program. I’m not talking bad about IC, Bmac or AC, not at all. Those are top notch small school programs but that’s what they are, small school programs. SF’s one year turnaround is impressive and only further proves my theory that they don’t belong there, not if they want to take things to the next level.Irish LB - yes, I am aware of the CCL/ESCC merger. The CCL was foolish to drag their feet on doing this sooner and could have avoided losing SF, Bmac, AC. They were delinquent in shuffling the deck so those programs found a better fit.
You're not wrong about EP, Fenton, CC and their records. Those programs are in the Red division which is terrible. The Blue with IC, Bmac, SF, AC, WA is much stronger and doesn't even feel like the same conference. Massive disparity between the two. In fact, the Red was 1-5 in crossover games vs. the Blue (Chicago Christian narrowly beating a woefully awful ACC team).
It’s one person’s thoughts about a conference, im not even calling out specific teams. Relax people. If you think that conference is good I will beg to differ, especially if you tell me I’m not allowed to post about it!I was going to respond to this thread but I think you got this Irish LB.

You’re right the side with IC is much stronger but with 3a and below programs. That’s exactly my point. Look at RB the last few years. They were consistently like 8-1 and would get smoked in the first round. It’s not a bad conference, I should be more specific, it’s a bad conference for a 5/6a playoff team.
