Spencer adds another step out to win 8-4 and he is back on the world team.
Spencer has fallen down walking off the mat. He is definitely concussed.
Congrats on Spencer. He is definitely the better wrestler at this point, and he didn't gas out in either match.

Awesome, glad he didn’t have to go to a 3rd match the way he staggering around. How about that crazy comeback for Buchanan in second match. I think they said it’s the first loss domestically for Snyder since 2016?

Yes, Snyder's last domestic loss was Jake Varner in 2016. Buchanan has now beaten 2 Olympic champs this year, I'd say that's pretty good for his first year.

How did Buchanan get two points from a caution and one? Had Snyder already had a caution earlier?
He didn't, he got a step out in the 1st period, step out in the 2nd, and then takedown + 1 the sequence after the step out.
Thanks. I was driving home so was listening on my phone but not able to watch. I must've missed the step out to make it 5-2.

Snyder has too much experience and too much man strength. Overall, Buchanan had a great 1st year in freestyle. Hard to believe Snyder has been on the world team every year since he was 18. That’s why it seems like he is 40 instead of 30.
Heck of a freestyle debut for Buchanan this year. You can tell he is still learning the FS ropes with the little things, but the future is really bright for him.
