[QUOTE="Buckaineer, post: 129393643, member: 1428007"] I'm not real bright but you are ignoring the vast majority of scientists around the world who have stated emphatically and unquestionably that global warming IS being rapidly increased by man because of emissions from things such as coal. You are throwing out all of the evidence and pushing the narrow argument from politically paid "scientists" hired by companies doing the polluting in the first place. Yes, its unfortunate, but things must change. The world can't be destroyed for the future because a few people don't want to accept the truth and move on to a less destructive way of life. And no, claiming other countries are polluting doesn't make it ok--most of that is just b.s. from nutjobs like Rush Limbaugh anyway. Scientists from around the world are attempting to dispel the lies about global warming and do what they can to slow it which means stopping the massive emissions that man is putting into the atmosphere and yes, that something besides burning coal is going to be necessary. You see some people actually care about the bigger picture and not just their own selfish interests. Everyone lives on the planet and suffers from the effects of global warming--many are expected to DIE from it and many more suffer greatly. Things must change. Making excuses and pretending it isn't real so you can bash the president of the United States or keep coal jobs that aren't going to be in the future doesn't make sense and certainly isn't the sign of any education.
