Anybody see the guest on Finebaums show say that Day should have been suspended for the year. I not sure about his name I think it was spelled Maitch

Yes this is just the beginning of the

Harvest of all the things Slive and his dumbass decision will bring down upon football in the future, book it. I can see the qbs wearing a rotating ambulance light on their helmet to make sure they don't get hit on an interception return coming to pro football soon, college will follow.

There's the team and then there's the individual. He has an opinion of the team and an opinion of an individual on the team. Everybody has opinions.

On the personal foul Day was flagged for, the whistle had not blown before the "late" hit. Everyone had stopped, but there was no whistle until after.

Just sayin.

Yep, this is just starting to snowball into one of those full blown media witch hunts where everyone flips out because everybody else is doing it, and because it's the "good and moral thing" to do... Hell, I even heard the people on PTI say Day should be dismissed from the team, smh...

FWIW, at the end of the day I don't have a problem with the suspension. Right or wrong, DD does have a reputation and has done some stuff in the past (even though the first few time I watched the video, I didn't really see definitive intent). My problem is that there are dirty plays that pop up like this EVERY SINGLE YEAR in the SEC, but this is the first time I can remember a player being suspended for something that wasn't targeting.

A Bama player caught heat a couple of years ago for damn near breaking a Mizzou player's neck, and all he has to do is write a BS apology note. Nick Farely did this **** ALL THE TIME- but he never had to sit out. The lack of consistency and enforcement across the board is what pisses me off. Frankly, it's pretty obvious that the SEC doesn't actually have a specific policy when it comes to this stuff and is just making up the rules as they go along.

And anyone saying Day should be suspended for the season, and even more bizarre, charged as a criminal have lost their minds. That's just taking this WAY too far. Yeah, the play looked dirty- but to charge DD as a criminal is just silly.

SCREW all of them!

THEY have ganged up, and tried to make our beat down of LSU, a not event.

Our team did great, and that is all there is to it.

Seems like he whole SEC world has decided to dump on DAY.

Like I said, SCREW Them, We are MSU!

Meanwhile there are tons of players arrested for drugs, rape, assault, theft, etc. and still play every Saturday. But yeah, let's end the career of a guy for stepping on another player.

And two words for you Beartards: Marshall Henderson.

Exactly why I'm pissed and signed that

Dumb petition. Slive needs some heat. It's just wrong that he gets a 2 million bonus if an sec team makes championship game, can you say conflict on judgment.

Exactly.

The idea of people trying to end DD's career over this is ludicrous- especially when Les Miles has known woman beaters and assault convicts on his team. So you beat a woman and give a player nothing, but step on someone and your career is over? That's just 17'ed up.

Again, I'm okay with the one game suspension. But anyone calling for DD to be suspended for the rest of his career and charged as a criminal is out of their damn mind and has their priorities out of whack, considering who is allowed to play at LSU with zero disciplinary action.

a side note, on around the horn, tony reali said that "day was one of the best centers in the country." i think in day's case a little notoriety is coming with some good attention as well. if an nfl team is looking to take a chance on a center from a top 15 team with a mean streak, we have your man. he is probably JUMPING up the nfl rankings.

Ronnie Lott, John Matusak, and Jack Lambert, (etc.) are wondering, too.

These dudes struck actual fear in their opponents. Football has become a bunch of sissies.

This is what makes me believe that Dear Old State will never be allowed to succeed. If it wasnt for the money and the way college sports is heading we would be better off leaving the SEC. They loves us when we are losing, but God forbid we upset the apple cart. There are too many instances to list where we are put in our place after making a few positive strides. I hope Mullen doesn't get so discouraged that he bolts to a better environment (ie Florida - which will be allowed to do anything necessary to right the $hip) for winning.

Thankfully, we've got jaboo winston and his camp of retards out there ........................................................

re-igniting the rape controversy story, so the attention will soon return to Tallahassee.
