and hire who? It's time to realize where we are in the pecking order. We've gone after big names and they have said "no". We've been very competitve with the salary but it's more than money. No one is going to turn down LSU, UGA, Southern Cal and the likes to come here. That's leaves retreads like Muschamp or unproven "diamonds in the rough" like Beamer. I still think Beamer can work here. He just has to hire competent coordinators and assistants. So far, that has been less than impressive. I think the jury is still out on Loggains. Hard to call plays with a swiss cheese OL that can't block.

There is an entire level of coaches at smaller schools/conferences that exist between the levels of "failed retread" like Muschamp and a position coach like Beamer. I don't like pretending we have no options other than hail Mary's.

That being said, unless the wheels come off next year, we've still got two more years before we start these conversations in earnest.

Yeah, let's fire him! Maybe we will get super lucky afterwards and hire the guy at the concession stand that sells hotdogs because that's going to be the only person who will want to be at a under preforming university that fires coaches in year 3.
