  1. Don't hire your friends for a multimillion dollar job.
  2. Don't hire someone who will always struggle to unite the fanbase due to his past behaviors.
  3. When an SEC coach gets humiliated by Toledo (or Maine), don't delude yourself into thinking it was inevitable and not the coach's fault.

We did. It was one of those firms who finds out who the AD wants to hire & then works up a thick report showing why that’s the best candidate for the job. So when it doesn’t work the AD can say I don’t know what went wrong he was recommended by an independent consulting firm. That’s how consulting firms get repeat business.
