All this fire Cal stuff is ridiculous. I am upset just as much as everyone else. I also think that Cal needs to adjust to the new game. To be real who can we get to come here if kentucky fired him? His resume speaks for itself I just think firing him would make us look bad and no one would take the job. Probably end up like the Gillespie years but then again I feel like that's where we are now !

He's not getting fired, lol. There's a chance he moves on sooner than later, which is what a bunch of people think might happen if they all pitch a big enough fit. But it won't be because of internet chatter, so all they are doing is blowing off steam by beating their keyboard.

There is no doubt a loss that catastrophic, it has changed the future landscape. Calipari will definitely have to get a great team now and go on a deep run next year, or he will be gone. It’s the worst loss in program history, so those are the repercussions.

I don't want him fired. I just want him to wake his *** up and coach like it's 2022 and not 2012. The game has changed. He needs to tap into the fountain of youth and find some new energy to bring life back into this program. If he can't do that, then he needs to step out of the way and let someone else take over that's willing to give it all they have.

People said the same last year when we won a total of 9 games. He’s not getting fired and he’s not going to step down. He’s going to milk his contract for at least another 5 years.

I don’t think necessarily his results TODAY warrant firing ( and his buyout is insane so we can’t)

it’s the fact that Cal is trending down and REFUSES TO ADAPT/CHANGE to today’s every changing game. He doesn’t learn from mistakes and his recruiting has declined.

He won’t ever change and hires yes men to validate his actions. Wake me up in 3 years when he continues to be mediocre and we remember the good ole days of 2015 prior

No way Drew. He can’t. At least by next season the contract falls under like 40 mill and there will be a buyout. All sides will agree. You can’t cosch at UK under these conditions. It’s just not possible.

I cannot, for the life of me understand how UK fans can say no coach would want to come here. Has Cal poisoned your mind so bad that you really believe that?

He really has and it’s really sad. Just think when we hire a coach that wins here again and they have to think of all the times they thought this ****. They’re going to be insecure from forming opinions probably even in their own life lol.

They said these same things with Tubby. He was put out, then we got BG who was a complete cluster and he was put out. And yet, somehow, Cal himself wanted to be here. And he has carried the torch but it’s time to pass it to the next guy. It’s just the truth of the situation.

To be honest since 2015 things have been down hill so it would not take much to actually top what Cal has done lately. But Cal is not going to be fired, he has a life time contract worth millions.

Great reply! Other coaches look at the talent Cal has had here and only has ONE nc to show for it and have to laugh about it.
Cal just took the NPOY year and lost to St Peters because he was out Coached yet again.
You think other coaches don’t realize what us sensible fans do? That Cal flat out can’t coach.

They would love to come in here and have the access to the best facilities and best fans in college bb.

“Who would we get!?!” has been asked a million times.

People that ask that question think this, what he’s doing, is irreplaceable? There are a lot of really good basketball minds out there that blow Cal away as far as in game coaching.

Just watching St Peters back cut us to death should flip the light on for some people. I was jealous of their no name players running an actual offense last night.

Cal is replaceable. I hope it happens soon.

Omg. Some of you are totally brain dead and that’s the nicest way I can put it.

Calipari is not a top coach today. There are manny who would be a safer bet. Get your head out if you *** and stop with this ********. Calipari is not a great coach anymore. Wake up from the coma.
I know, right?

some of the people on this board need to understand what it was like in the Legion of Doom days.

Cal deserves that x1,000

he really needs to go, every other discussion is moot at this point

Can we just get a Coach to coach offense. It's one on one, if you don't beat your man pull the ball back out, someone else try. They wind up throwing a shot up

Exactly. Honestly, to all those worried about "who would we hire"....Brad Stevens or Vogel would be great if you could entice them but I'd rather take a shot on a young up and comer like Chin or someone from the Few tree then keep watching what we have watched for the last 7 seasons (minus 2017).

PPL want to point to 2020 as an "what could have been" but that team wasn't as good as this years, had the classic Cal up and down wait til march season that has been the norm since 2015, and had a head case point guard who quit on the team 2 weeks before the tournament. We would have been lucky to make the E8.

Watch the tape from yesterday and tell me he doesn't just roll balls out. Cal better not so much as mention "gold standard" of college basketball. Our currency is no longer backed by gold and he has lost his midas touch.
We are the dogecoin of college basketball. Hot for a minute there, but on its way down.

Two things in your statement are not true. One Cal won't be fired. Two, he will not adjust his style.

However, as I stated in another thread, he makes more money than any NBA coach not named Greg Popovich so do you honestly think we can't get a good coach?
