Landon Young will be one of our starting tackles.
He's that talented.
Oh really?Wish he could play defensive line. That being said, if we start a freshman offensive lineman in the SEC we are in trouble on the line. Freshman should not start on your line if you want to compete.
Oh really?
Signed,
Andre Smith, Cam Robinson, and Jonah Williams. Alabama Crimson Tide.

You said that a freshman shouldn't start on OL in SEC and I provided examples. They are loaded with talent and freshmen beat tthe others out. If Landon Young starts, it's a good thing.Really. You are going to cherry pick 3 ALABAMA lineman on loaded teams with other 5 stars next to them and make the case that a freshman can start on UK's line.
I'll say it again . If UK starts a freshman on the o-line we are in trouble.
If the coaches say he is the best...you start him. PERIODReally. You are going to cherry pick 3 ALABAMA lineman on loaded teams with other 5 stars next to them and make the case that a freshman can start on UK's line.

Young is 6"7 305 pounds and super elite if he starts its great not goodReally. You are going to cherry pick 3 ALABAMA lineman on loaded teams with other 5 stars next to them and make the case that a freshman can start on UK's line.

Just saw Jonah Williams listed as first string on the Tide depth chart at RT, too. Poor Alabama. Evidently, they are in for a long season...
If I'm not mistaken, LSU had a freshman starter on the OL last year, too.
I don't know who it actually wasWho is the offensive lineman you heard was tryout some defense?

And Florida. Montez Ivey started at OT as a true frosh.
In fact, I read somewhere that the past 4 or 5 five star OT recruits that went to schools in the SEC all started as true frosh.
If you look at it that way, if Young doesn't start he would be the first 5 star SEC recruit not to do so in the last couple of years.
GAA was wasn't playing his natural guard position either. He is this year. Then we agree to disagree. I agree you start him if the coaches say he is the best. I say if Landon Young starts we are in trouble. It's not like the rest of the line is made up of 5 star lineman that can pick up his slack. He will be out on an island at lt or rt tackle. We tried that with 4 star Asafo-Adjei (6'5" 315) last year. He started out okay but wore down physically. Kentucky is not Alabama or LSU.
Sorry. Didn't know you were at practice and know he is physically and mentally ready to start from day 1.The National Championship game at two FRESHMEN LT's
Robinson and Hyatt.
If Landon Young is physically and mental ready, which he is. He should start.
The kids looks like a start LT in the SEC already. It happens all the time that 4 & 5* oline man start at freshman. Last year Clemson had one of the best OTs in the country in Mitch Hyatt and he was a true freshman 4*. I like Mosier but I dont see anyway that Young doesnt pass him by midseason if not sooner.

You can't take the truth. Obviously. You just want to be pessimistic.Nope. Not mad.are you? Can't take someone questioning you
Nuke just an honest question nothing but wondering why you think that? That i agree with. But imho Young will not be starting in 3 weeks.
Basing it on not being here in the spring. His first practice was the other day. I don't expect a freshman who wasnt here in the spring to be ready to start in three weeks. Let's see how he does in pads for three weeks, learns the offensive calls and adapts to being a freshman in college.
