Penn Quarter tavern is the default place for a lot of the SEC. Crystal City Sports Bar is another good one. The DC alumni chapter keeps everyone informed on where to meet up.

i went to the penn quarter tavern once for the auburn 09 game and it was just a small group. i prefer staying within walking distance of my place though, just easier that way, so i usually will hit up touchdown on u st (formerly momo's). there's also a place called lou's that just opened in the spring by columbia heights metro that i watched some ncaa tourney games at with friends. i watched a few games at ventnor in adams morgan at the end of last season, but it's just ok, only went cause momo's had closed. if you are looking for some pretty serious craft brews while you watch though, meridian pint in columbia heights is really good too and usually kinda low key. the upstairs bar at birch and barley near logan circlehas the best beer selection in DC (maybe the best i've ever seen) and TVs, but on weekend nights, it's kinda a total **** show and packed. i could see it being worth a thursday night (maybe) or saturday afternoon (if it's open?) watching though if you wanna drink from a huge selection of craft beers.<div>
feel free to pm me if you have more questions. where are you living?<div>
</div><div>also, i'm pretty sure the official spot this year is the crystal city sports bar. that's where the first alumni viewing party is according to the facebook message i got at least.</div> </div>

and it is easily my favorite place for beer. I don't think I'd ever go there to watch a game though. I'm not even sure they have TVs to be honest. I might try Regional Food and Drink for a mix of good beer and sports friendliness. It is owned by the former owners of Brickskellar so the beer selection is good and I'm pretty sure they have a number of TVs on hand. If you just want to be around a ton of Dawgs, go where ever the alumni association says, which is probably going to be Crystal City.

yeah churchkey has tvs up behind the bar. i had a buddy in town earlier in the summer who is a HUGE beer snob. we talked about how awesome (and expensive) it would be to sit there on a saturday afternoon before it got crowded and just drink great and rare beer all afternoon.<div>
</div><div>if you've never done the beer pairing menu, it's well worth the $80 or however much it cost for a once in a blue moon meal or a special occasion. menu changes either daily or weekly, not sure. great food, great beers. </div>
