If he does committ he will be a huge pickup this early in the year. Steve has Carr as the #3 player in the state and he could help us immediatley at CB if he doesn't play WR. West Point also has OL/DL, Curtis Virges, that we have offered who Carr would help with.

nelson didn't have quite the offers this guy has. Unless he just wants to play with his brother, I don't think we get him, and we haven't had the best of luck with siblings lately.
i heard that he will basically be lining up rental cars for the coaches who can recruit. now, i don't know whether only on-field coaches can recruit or how many football personnel are allowed to make contacts. does anyone know the rules and whether he can still recruit?
i certainly hope he can, because he has shown his worth in that department. i did hear, however, that he is unhappy about his situation because he can't actively recruit.
on the hurst note - their dad played with croom, and that's a big reason nelson came to starkville. maybe he can lure his brother, but in this case, losing croom may actually hurt us with a recruit. hard to imagine, i know.
