are not drilling a 90 degrees but at obviously significantly lesser angle. The still have another 900 feet linearly to go to the target intersection point.

Engineers on this board please correct my description I did the best I could.

Nothing like being 16' feet away from the candy but you have to walk a mile around the wall to get there. Sounds like they need to dump off a few sticks of dynamite in there and then there would be some oil flow.

Apparently I've been living in lala land because all the diagrams I saw did not explain the drilling like I thought it would. But then again this is a practical situation and diagrams are good for ideal situations.

it's drill. Prepare adequate safety measures? No. Have an intelligent, actionable response plan in place if the unthinkable happens? No. Deal honestly and openly with the public as the fallout develops? No. But ****, they can drill.</p>

He says he still believes it will be Sept 1 at the earliest. I don't know why he thinks that since they are so close. I sure hope he is wrong, but he knows a hell of a lot more that me about drilling.He also gave it a 70% chance of being successful on the first try.
