Who is most likely to be upset in the 1st round. Lower seed beating a higher seed is what I'm considering an upset, or will seeds 1-8 win their opening round.

Not saying either will happen but if I had to pick one from each side of the state I'd say in the East #11 Charles could upset #6 Franklin. Rematch from the regular season that Franklin won by 8. CC has won 4 in a row and playing with a lot of confidence. In the West if I had to pick one I'd say #10 Radford over #7 Patrick Henry. Not sure of the status of Dakota Humphrey but if he was to play it'd be huge for PH.

I don't think Radford is an upset. I think they beat PH EASILY, and I think the Radford-PH score will be far more lobsided than the JB and Narrows game. I think this game will be an absolute nailibiter and a toss up. Regardless of seeding, Radford winning will be no upset. Narrows winning over Battle would be a small, very small upset.

A true upset in my opinion. Gate City on the road at Glenvar. Keep your eyes on the Gate. I don't care if they are 1 and 9 or 2-8, and somehow made the playoffs, they are a dangerous bunch. (I know, they are 5-5 this year). There is to much history and to much football in the blood in Gate City to be taken lightly.

I have seen Patrick Henry, but not Radford. PH'S fortune depends on the health of their star
Running back, Humphrey. He is the horse they ride, and if he is not available, then PH is a
Completely different squad. Radford's chances are better of course without Humphrey.
I don't see a blowout either way, and it should be a good game. Best of luck to both squads.

I also have seen JI Burton, but not Narrows. Burton has improved each game since game 4.
I think they have Won 6 in a row. Burton is a traditional power in the coal fields, and play
Tough football. Their line is huge, and those guys can move for their size. Their backs are
Young, but can run behind that Big line. As for Narrows, to be honest, I don't have any info
On them. Best of luck to both teams.

I highly doubt that score line. I think JIB is certainly the paper victor though. I'm thinking if Narrows squeaks it out, it will be by three or fewer. If JIB wins, it will be less than a ten point gap.
I really don't think the score will be that bad, JIB by maybe a TD or 2, just posted that because it seems that anyone not within 30 miles of Wytheville don't know how to play Football.

Charles city is playing with a ton of confidence. Having arguably some of the best skilled players in the east. Losing to Franklin by 8. I believe they have the perfect matchup.

As for Narrows, to be honest, I don't have any info
On them, except this is the first time they been in the playoffs in several years, which is a
Burton advantage.

Narrows made the playoffs last year also. First round loss at Galax that gave the Maroon Tide probably their toughest playoff game until the championship game. Looking forward to Saturday. If the boys in green show up, it's going to be a good day of football in Norton.

Good luck to Narrows. All of our playoff games were hard but the toughest team we played that would not go away until Riverheads was probably Hurley and then Essex. Any team can go far new season!

Essex and Hurley were much tougher games than Narrows was last year.

I owe an apology to Narrows. I missed their playoff appearance last year, and I
Am sincerely sorry for my oversight to the Green Wave. Thanks everyone for
Bringing that to my attention. I wish Narrows the very best in the post season
This year!

Chilhowie will be playing Castlewood Friday in the 1st round. It should be a good game. Both
Teams are familiar with each other, as they played a benefit game back in August. Chilhowie
Came out on top then by about 2 td's.
I am sure the Blue Devils have improved since August, and are eager to win Friday night.
Chilhowie has looked good recently, but some inconsistent play at times has shown up
With penalties and not takings care of business in the red zone.
It probably will be close, and as I have said before, Chilhowie had better have their heads
In the game, and show up, ready to play. Chilhowie's Defense will be the key to the Game,
in my opinion.

Well I think that you were absolutely wrong.
