There will not a SW Conference team placing in the 4 x 100.

I see West was .001 off of the pace of Fremd for the last Q spot for tomorrow's finals. I hope they did not coast it, as they seeded higher than that.

Also does not look like a Metro East team wins a team title either. Not sure if ESL could have or not.

Lockport shot put senior broke state record in prelims with a 68-8 toss to lead the next closest throw by over 7 feet. Michigan recruit, I believe.
Also, no LWE FB skill player sophomore AJ Henning in the sprints this season after high places in the the finals last year. Too many conflicts with D1 recruiting visits, maybe? Would have liked to see him battle in the sprints with fellow sophomore track/FB player Marcellus Moore from Plainfield North.

That Lockport kid’s spin technique in the shotput is ridiculously good. He must have been training year around with someone to have that good of technique in HS. Yes I think he is going to throw for Michigan. We might be seeing him in a few years competing for a spot on the US Olympic team.

The insane thing is looked off breaking the meet record, you can tell he wasn’t satisfied with that toss, which was his final attempt. Hoping to see him throw some bombs tomorrow- should be a great day.

Plainfield North is ridiculously fast. Anchor leg is an absolute monster. Anyone know if any of the track guys play football.

It was a great toss on his last attempt in the prelims. He threw 179 in discus later. The guy from Quincy had a massive day in discus with a 196 toss.

Meyer is going to Michigan on a full ride.

Lockport's John Meyer threw a 70-4.25 earlier this season in shot, the first Illinois high school thrower to ever break 70. Has a good chance of winning in discus as well and yes he is Michigan bound. Lockport's coach Shields is a outstanding throws coach.

First of all, Moore is ridiculous, so fun to watch, and only a sophomore ! Saw some great talent today. Sorry to do the bragging dad thing, but wanted to do a shoutout to my son, Steven Migut, who took 1st in the 300 m hurdles in 2A and 2nd in the 110m hurdles. Finishes his high school career with 11 state medals. Once again, apologize in advance for the proud dad post.

I was at the DGS meet where he threw, 69'8". I was also at the Sectional where he threw 181 in discus, further his 4th throw at Sectional looked to be 6-7 feet farther than the 181 but landed on the line which is a sector foul (scratch). He did not win state but he was impressive to watch the last couple of years.
