Any idea where to park? Is there tailgating? Meaning, not just cocktails, but bringing a small grill?

get there early - it has been 10 + years since I have been to DLS for football -but last year I caught both the St L basketball as well as baseball games at DLS. There is a parking lot right next to the field (back of south end zone) but small-ish. I imagine later arrivers will be seeking spots in the hood. I believe only the west side of the field has stands since the field turf is shared with the baseball field - the football field runs from left field to center field - so no bleachers on the turf infield area. I think the press box separates Meteor fans from the visitors on the west.
I can always take the CTA Green Line from the office or home like I did for the hoops game - parking was easy for baseball

We borrow the parking lot from IIT that's next to our field. Entrance is on 35th Street between Michigan and State. De La Salle people park for free, fans from opposing teams pay $20 for the back of the lot and $40 for EZ out. :)
How about $0, a grilled Italian sausage, and an IPA? By the way, is that allowed, or is it frowned upon?

Parking is free - even for people from other CCL schools :) We actually have three lots we use. The IIT lot, the faculty/staff lot which is located on Michigan next to the baseball field and another staff lot across Michigan from the main entrance to our school.

Is tailgating a common occurrence at any of these?

Happy to help. Our new field and complex is beautiful and we're very proud of it. Should be a great game. And we have a damn good concession stand as well.
How many freshman football players did you guys have this year? Know they didnt play a season or at least all scheduled games.
A one year hiccup or think will be having to go varsity and jv for now on?

It is a nice complex for certain and my trip to DLS for basketball last winter was my first trip to the new fieldhouse - I know it has been open for several years now but it was my first visit - nice place. I miss that old basketball venue at DLS - I remember paying a catholic school tournament there back circa 1974 and I thought the place was scary but cool

The IIT campus with the pain ball incidents was not the college IIT at 35th & Michigan. That IIT is a technical school which is located on the North side of Chicago! DLS is in a decent location but it never hurts to be aware of your surrounding regardless.

St Laurence looked really good tonight - decent size and SPEED. Hoping for a favorable 5A draw but I understand that they eventually will have to run through some good & great teams - I will not like an opening round match-up v Montini. Back to the team, the defense was impressive - the St L teams of '15; '16; and '17 had explosive offenses when they were semi-finalists 2X and QF's in '17 but those defenses were always suspect (remember in 2016 they lost to ICCP 63-49) and the focus was always on offense - and yes, defense wins championships so we'll see - but I was impressed with the team - and the new coach, I got the vibe that he may be the real deal - just the way he carried himself. Well, Happy Playoff Bracket Eve all !

Pretty sure it was at IIT, or, the Armour Institute, as some may know it.
ITT is where Gordon Tech is moving.

Chicago may be the only place where you'd consider yourself fortunate to be shot by a paintball.

Good one, Ignazio! How long did it take you to come up with that brilliant statement!
