He'll be back for the 2011 season. Who knows after that...

FROM K.S. “BUD” ADAMS, JR.

“I appreciate all of our fans’ patience over the last week while I
deliberated on the immediate future of the football team. I have informed our
senior management that Jeff Fisher will be our head coach next season.</p>

“Jeff has meant a great deal to this franchise and we have reached some
incredible heights under his leadership. Obviously, I have very high
expectations for our football team and want to deliver a championship to our
fans. Jeff understands this and shares my expectations. The results of his
leadership have been some very good football teams and I believe he will get us
back to an elite level.”</p>

</td></tr></tbody></table>STATEMENT
FROM TITANS HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER

“Mr. Adams and I had a good talk about where we are as a football team.
Clearly I am pleased with the news today. Presenting Mr. Adams with his first
Lombardi Trophy is still the objective and I will continue to work for that
goal.”</p></div></div>

This was clearly a Fisher or VY situation. One had to go. When VY was dumped, you had to believe that Fisher was staying. I'm glad. Now, if Bud will just keep his nose out of the QB evaluation process this time, we might actually have a QB Fisher can live with.

/Please let us draft Jake Locker
//Mallett is more likely, and I'd be o.k. with him
///I just don't want Mule Newton. VY 2.0

The QB situation is going to be interesting, to say the least. I'm wondering if 'Dinger is going to stay on with his health issues, and also if they are going to give Cecil the boot. Most/All of the FA's the Titans are losing are replaceable (please DO NOT re-sign Scaife!), and they have a good spot in the draft, so there should be no excuse for next year if the QB situation gets resolved. And of course, everything is contingent on there even being a season next year.
