Steve Bardo asked on BTN what can make Harper get out of his slump. He then picked up his phone and said this, Get rid of it. Twitter and all other social media gets in their heads. they reads too much .

Completely agree.

Relax, you are relentless about this. I think I've read you say this already 5x tonight.

Starting with Syracuse and including Iowa because Caleb only played 11 minutes he's played 20 in all but Penn state after:

Harper 41/50 (51%) from the floor before Caleb and 46/130 (35%) after Caleb joined the rotation... More specifically 27/78 (34%) after the lineup change

Young 33/67 (49%) before Caleb and 63/138 (45%) after and 37/82 (45%) after lineup change

Mathis 32/72 (44%) before Caleb and 20/70 (28%) and 12/39 (31%) after the lineup change

2 days ago he wouldn’t stop talking about more Young and Mathis now it’s changed to more Young and Paul lol.

Young needed more minutes but he didn’t magically make Harper’s 3’s start going down by himself.

If they read to much then what the f are we doing. Lol

Wasn’t Young playing with RHJ in the first 4 minutes of the game when we went down 10-0? Did Caleb start the game? I thought he did not.

There’s no magic line up. This so called miracle rotation was the starting unit in the first Michigan State debacle - wasn’t it? Or something close to it.

Every game is different. The transition game worked for the first time in forever yesterday - and to be honest, part of that struggle has simply been bad luck. So many point blank lay ups rimming in and out time and time again. Transition 3s halfway down popping out for several games. Its impossible to stick with that style of play when nothing is falling. That’s how you get crushed.

It’s important to realize that the line up you are referring to did not demonstrate success (even yesterday) running halfcourt sets but was successful because they weren’t needed much in this game. When we did execute on a few big late shot clock buckets, it wasn’t that line up in the game. If there’s one lesson from all the ups and downs this season it’s that we need to be able to rely on both styles come tourney time. We took a huge step towards getting there yesterday so how about being happy about that rather than dissing on one single player in a zillion posts?
