1.Move the Students to the sidelines.
2.Fire the music guy..Dave Matthews sucks and continues to suck even harder when played before a basketball game.
3.Bring back Dr. Flick...The guy we have constantly 17s up names and other announcements and is just a cookie cutter PA guy
4.End the "Rick's Rowdies" bs..call it the Maroon Mob or Death Ray or some **** besides "Rick's Rowdies"..Not a soul thinks Rick's Rowdies is cool..It's associated with Rick's Cowdies
5.If it's apparent the season ticket holder is not going to be there to use their seats that game let someone else sit in them if they please.

Yes... Bring. Back. Flick.

He will always be the missing piece, no matter how good we get.

The people that select our pre game music for most sporting events probably are in the age segment that watch Andy Griffith reruns.

Threads like this one make me apreciate my years at state 2001-04

The Hump was so bad *** those years. We actually had to get up early to get tickets a few times. We damn sure weren't given free pizza.

Football was about as bad as it had ever been, but damn the Hump was fun.

It is really sad what the atmosphere at the Hump is now compared to 10 years ago and back. Not sure what kind of immediate fix can be done other than have a better basketball product but someone should try to do something. Apparently have way too many tickets purcheased from folks that never have any intention of coming to a game. I mean what is the point, a tax writeoff?

Let me get this straight. So nobody should buy tickets so there will be less income to go with nobody showing up for games? That sounds like a great plan.

The product is just not good - no elite players. I am one of those who buy 4 lower level tickets to keep supporting the program, but just don't want to attend games. I went to 2 games this year, and even though we won it was boring. Got more important things to do than spend 6 hours (4 driving) to see us play. The 2 times that I went was because I stayed in my Starkville condo due to a function with my kid. Couldn't even watch the entire Florida game on tv, as we just cannot shoot - like jb1020 I miss seeing elite players. Nobody has even asked me for my tickets, and people use to call and beg me. I don't have time to fool around with getting rid of them each game, as I keep them in my condo - my kid would have to go meet someone there, etc. What we need is some kind of electronic way to transfer tickets online. I am trying to support State, but I guess maroonmania wants me to quit writing a check to the Ticket Office and Bulldog Club - so I just might do that.

Should've been there in 95 and 96. It was pure electricity. Every body yelling "for an evening of basketball", still remember the Domino's We will Rock you/Buffalo wings commercial because everytime they played that song the student section would yell buffalo wings.
