I know many dont agree with me on this but thats fine

I think NC could go with a Open division u take the top teams from 5a-8a (regardless of ADM) and everyone who not in the open stay within their division now obviously their would need to be a separate way to determine who the best of the best some do MAXPREP rankings n such. i think you would need do a different % or Point system or something for Open division

I dont think that is a terrible idea, however, we have too many classifications to add an open division. The already pretty watered down playoff system, would be even more watered down if you removed the top 8-16 teams for the open division. I believe California has an open division, and plays a bowl type of game after their sectional championship games. The state is so big, they do not have a true state championship playoff system. LOL

6 classes with an 8 team open division would be pretty good.
