I'd like a guess on what the attendance will be at the Orange Bowl. One of the most prestigious bowls....a BCS bowl......with a Cincinnati - Va Tech matchup. While you are at it, throw in a New Orleans Bowl prediction. I am going to guess 872 for that one.

But I think you have to buy tickets for the Championship game and the Orange Bowl in a package deal. So more people might show just because they have the ticket already for the NC game.

i went to the '06 new orleans bowl (had a couple of friends @ Troy) and it had a surprising amount of people there.
it was troy & rice (sounded like a bad chinese dish) and the filled the lower level of the superdome & part of the middle deck.
i was impressed that they pulled that many folks 2 days before Christmas. probably had something to do with the fact that tickets were $20....

although, i think the announced attendance was something atrocious like 20,000+. i wouldnt have been surprised if there were upwards of 10,000 people there. didnt expect 5,000, personally...

N.O. is only a couple of hours away for me, so we're probably gonna go again. one of my buddy's father played for Troy back in the 70's, so we'rr gonna take him to the game & "see the sights".
having "tickets to a bowl game" is always a good reason to get off work for the following Monday...
