It'd be interesting to see just how accurate you've been.

get beat on to save Westbrook and Gore for the real games....41 carries for 119 yards the last 2 games- that's not even 3 yards/carry

After Green Bay put 59 on the Colts the other night, it's obvious they aren't playing defense this preseason.

We will be fine without Dixon if Relf's finger is ok- quit worrying

I have not. But the year in which the calculator got sponsored by Texas Instruments, I was on a tear. I missed one game by about 26 people and another by a few hundred.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great way to spend a 3:55 AM on a Saturday. It's September, yet because of the early morning hour and lack of sun I'm cold, uncomfortable, and not yet inclined to take a drink. Then the day really gets going as we fire into the air and hope for the best as the pellets, intended for those mean-*** birds, rain back down on me and my loved ones.

You'd rather do that than go to THE FIRST F*CKING FOOTBALL GAME? Plus, we're gonna win. As an MSU fan I've come to really enjoy saying that before games.

You need Jesus my friend.

The first time you did this as a joke during the Croom error is the time you missed it by 26.
When there is only 50 people in the stands to watch the high-powered West Coast Offense, missing it by 26 isn't very impressive.I still loathe that fat crooked-hat bastard.

I've never understood why people like hunting. And seeing that it might make people miss the first snaps of the season of a football team they care about enough to be a message board junkie? I hope I never understand :p

It's not like we are playing an SEC team, it's Memphis. Last year I had to miss the huge game against JSU. I think I will be fine once again.

The Mississippi delta will be full of hunters on Saturday. A good Dove Hunt doesn't start until the afternoon. You start smoking a whole hog and goat on Friday night, Saturday morning the chicken and ribs hit the smokers. The Hunters start showing up around noon and the eating begins. The beer is cold and stories are told. You load up and hit the Sunflower fields around 3pm. Shoot the limit before dark and then catch the game on ESPNU.
If you have never been to a hunt like this, then you will never understand.

Go DAWGS.....

Replace the shooting birds part of your story with attending a football game and you've had the exact same Saturday as the fine folks who tailgate all day before going to the game.

Whatever floats your boat, but can't you kill doves on Sunday?

in fact, I really do enjoy it. But to skip the first home football game, man, thats tough to justify to me.

...you calculations have proven to be suprisingly accurate, so I must defer to your methodology.

Since Memphis is picked to suck so hard, I'll go with 51,500.

This weekend. So, I sold them to a guy who works on Redstone Arsenal.
I axed when he and his wife were arriving, to invite them to our tailgate.

Bottom line: Wife and one son are going to the game.
Other son and dad are going bird-shooting.

To each hims own.

********. We hunt in the morning almost exclusively and slaughter them every time. 25 hunters all get their limit within an hour.

Hey asshat...
Just like a football game, the pre-hunt party is just as much a part of the hunt as is the actual hunt itself. I will be hunting morning and afternoon at two different un-disclosed locations in the MS Delta. Now go back to crying over your 2010 crops...
