Did any of you see the tweet by Fletcher Cox the other night? He tweeted that he had something he wanted to tell fans & friends. Has anybody heard anything lately?

like Dylan & Charles Bailey & from what I hear Montrell Conner as well all mentioned it on twitter before bouncing. I'm not a "casual" state fan I know who's going to be behind the guy IF he leaves. But I would MUCH rather him be here.

He has also said (It's been real, Is all I can say) and (Fun but gotta eat). Don't say that I blame him but it doesn't look good for the home team.Maybe he is just kidding around with us, but i doubt it.

you can't pass up the NFL. If he's not already on the top of the DT list, then he will be after the combine.

To be successful we have to be the kind of program where kids know they can come in and make it to the NFL. If Banks, Cox, and Ballard get drafted we could have 10 guys go pro in the last 3 years. That says a lot to these blue chip recruits. and frankly I love watching ex Bulldogs get love on MNF, Jaws and Gruden are in love with KJ tonight.

Don't get me wrong it'd be awesome if they stayed too!

and can plug in another 5* and then tout the party line of putting guys in the NFL.<div>
</div><div>A little harder to do when you're MSU, and you have to deal with suckage at that position the next year. We ain't got another Fletcher Cox. We need him to stay.</div>

I follow him on twitter, and the past few things he has posted on there make it sound like he's leaving for sure. I usually don't pay much attention to this kind of stuff, but yeah the past hours worth of tweets make you wonder.

Fletcher needs to do what is best for him- just like any other State student. And us putting players in the 1st round of the NFL draft in consecutive years does nothing but help recruiting...thats how it all works and gets started in better programs <div>
</div><div>Fletcher doesnt need to turn down a multi-million dollar contract- thats helps MSU- not hurts us</div>

I would love to see Fletch in Maroon and White next year but for selfish reasons. You gotta make hay when the sun is shinning and its shinning on Cox right now. It may leave us with a gap in talent next year but like coach said, it will only help in recruiting to have back to back 1st rounders. The only reason I am watching this crappy Monday night game is to see KJ dominate folks and will do the same thing next year when Fletcher is doing the same thing. Having a player with the ability to get drafted high as a Jr is a good thing for MSU, not a bad one.

I hate that we'll lose him, but I don't hate the fact that kids know they can be successful here at home. They don't have to go off to Bama or LSU to be millionaires one day. They can stay close to home; they play winning football; they can go on to careers in the NFL. Last years draftees prove that. Things like that make guys like Quay Evans and Nick James want to play here.

He's been joking around the last couple weeks about that among other things. Remember they are just 20 something year old kids. They are having fun, enjoying the moment.

I'd hate to see him leave but he's not gone until draft declaration day and a lot could change between now and then. Either way, he's been fun to watch and much appreciated by all who follow MSU football. A Home grown success story. What more could we ask for as a program trying to create that perception throughout the state and surrounding states?

Mullen: "We really need you because our current DT is bypassing his senior year for the NFL draft. He'll go in the first two rounds."

Umm, I haven't seen "suckage" at that position (as its the position I coach in h.s). I see some pretty damned good kids that Chris has put there. Pj Jones will be a 17'n beast in the VERY near future! Cherrington looked like he had promise this past year & he's a walk on! It must be sad if your Carmon as u were one of the most highly touted DTs in juco & after moving positions u see a bonafied high school kid (Pj) come in and shrug off SEC G's like it ain't nothing! Virges will be better as well next year. And lets not forget nobody's saying Boyd's going anywhere. So he'll be back next year as well. Not to mention Quay (if we get him) could make an impact as well. So I don't see "suckage" from that position at all if Fletch leaves.

Because the guys they are coming in to replace are now in the NFL. That's a very easy sell to recruits.

"Denico, come in and here we need another Pernell McPhee something bad. By the way have you seen how well he is playing at Baltimore, yeah Chris Wilson really helped him with his technique. I'm sure he can help you take your game to the next level"

"Damien, well we now have an opening at DT we really need to fill. Looks like Fletcher is going to be a first round draft pick and we need someone who can step in a fill his shoes without missing a beat."

And Mullen should do the same. Fletcher could set himself and family for generations to come if he is smart with his money. Why risk injury? Great for him, Id do the same. Great for our program, if he and Banks go, I dont remember having this many guys in the nfl at one time.

And many of them are making a huge impact on their team, like Jamar Chaney, KJ Wrigth, and Pernell McPhee. Kyle Love is also getting a ton of PT and making some highlights of his own.
