I have been very busy at work the last three days so there has not been my usual reading activity on sixpack so I apologize for the delay in posting my information: As I mentioned on the board last week as well as in the chat again on Friday.... I have several members of my mother's side of the family who are heavily involved in the ongoings of TCU University. To both clarify and qualify "heavily involved" I will say this; There are several buildings and streets names after members of my mother's family on the TCU Campus and in the Fort Worth community. I reported last week that Paterson was a leading candidate and that initial talks had occurred. My grandfather believes that Patterson is very interested and will take the job if a formal offer is presented. What I do not understand in any of this is why the plane that Bryne and Co. was spotted on was at Lovefield and not at Alliance Airport or even Addison Airport and for more than one reason. 1. The landing fees at Love Field are very high. Both Addison Airport and Alliance Airport are about half the cost compared to Lovefield. 2. Location: if presumably interviewing a coach from TCU in Fort Worth, why not land at Alliance Airport. Alliance is about 15-20 minutes from campus while Lovefield is about an hour. (some will say they could be interviewing somewhere in the middle but this type of facility, aka hotel, is also available in Fort Worth) 3. An very involved alumni of MSU, Ronnie Parker, lives in McKinney, TX. Mr. Parker is also involved in COB on MSU campus and was formerly the Pres and CEO of Pizza Inn. Mr. Parker lives a couple of doors away from my parents and he did respond to an email today that Bryne was not in town to visit him. FYI, Mr. Parker is also in the dark about the search. All in all I know nothing more today than I did last week. But the location of interviewing may having nothing to do with who the candidate is.
