I'm sad the Gamecocks aren't our 3rd semi-permanent annual opponent. We got A&M, Arkansas and Oklahoma. I totally see OU as an old Big 8 rival. I see Arkansas as a border rivalry - even if they won't admit it. I'm just not sure why people think Mizzou and A&M have any kind of rivalry. College Station isn't close. We beat them a lot in the Big XII. They got a big recruiting bump when they moved to the SEC, but there is a reason Aggie is sometimes used as a verb for f***ing something up.Thank heavens it wasn't A&M, Arkansas and Missouri....
It was disclosed on certain internet outlets yesterday.Chris Low broke it this morning. I absolutely love it that the SECN doesn't get to break it!!!!
I guess I'm glad to not play them anymore, but bummed that we have to be glad not to play them anymore. It's shame a program the caliber of Missouri has more less been our daddy. So much for revealing in December - thought that was the plan. Ok with the 3 teams, I guess. Glad we didn`t get Tennessee. Sorry but good riddance Missouri and A&M.
Head coaching hires matter.I guess I'm glad to not play them anymore, but bummed that we have to be glad not to play them anymore. It's shame a program the caliber of Missouri has more less been our daddy.
Clearly not. We are right where we’ve always been. Players and coaches change and we are mediocre at best. Just accept it you will be happier. Nothing is ever going to change.Head coaching hires matter.
The last time Carolina hired the right coach was with Spurrier. Stop hiring a guy you can afford who has enough name recognition to be defensible. Hire someone who has proven he can run a successful program. Easier said than done, but as an outsider, it seems to me you haven't found the right guy for a while.Clearly not. This is the sensible approach. Obviously, we are never going to break through as a program. I think we all know that in our heads.Clearly not. We are right where we’ve always been. I came to that difficult conclusion during the Vandy game. Sold my season tickets and walked. No longer emotionally attached to it. It’s so freeing! This is the sensible approach. Obviously, we are never going to break through as a program. I think we all know that in our heads.
We seem to enjoy the pursuit though. Otherwise, we would not still be fans.
That’s two losses every year. Not sure why people wanted UGA.Chris Low broke it this morning. I absolutely love it that the SECN doesn't get to break it!!!!
The SEC Network had it before anyone.Chris Low broke it this morning. I absolutely love it that the SECN doesn't get to break it!!!!
We'll be playing them pretty soon, plus the permanent opponent lineup can change. So much for revealing in December - thought that was the plan. Ok with the 3 teams, I guess. Glad we didn`t get Tennessee. Sorry but good riddance Missouri and A&M.
Perfect. Quell that Pollyanna Gamecock fan optimism four years early.2029 has us traveling to UGA, LSU and Texas.
Not if UF doesn't get their house in order. I see it as 2-1 each year. That’s two losses every year. Not sure why people wanted UGA.

To be fair, not a lot of teams could get over that hump. Two of those three were generally good every year. If UT was down, UGA and UF were good, etc..If it was up to me, I'd have had Tennessee, UF and UGA as our annual opponents.
That UT/UF/UGA hump was the one we could never really get over in the East.
No doubt. I just hate that we never really conquered it.To be fair, not a lot of teams could get over that hump. Two of those three were generally good every year. If UT was down, UGA and UF were good, etc..
