Maybe but Mount Airy isn't slow and Galax looked fast against them....
Probably be one of their toughest regular season games this year if not the toughest!
How fast or slow a team is, has absolutely nothing to do with how fast someone is in open space. You can tell if a team is fast or not. The receiver from Mt Airy that committeted to Wake Forest wasn't running away from anyone in the scrimmage. GC and Narrows looked faster this year in their scrimmage as well. Mt Fan 91 is absolutely correct Glenvar will be the toughest opponent they play all regular season . Maybe even better than anyone they would see deep in the playoffs. Dixon may do like last year against them and use the starting RB very little against them to keep healthy.
My opinion only here and you know what they say about those.....
Both Glenvar and Galax are state semifinal teams at the 1A and 2A levels. I think Galax plays Chilhowie again in a toss up game to see who goes to the state title game. As for Glenvar, my pick to win their region over Appo, Gretna, Dan River, and Giles, and will play Union or Graham in the state semis and win.
I think Glenvar will play for the AA state championship. The best team on the Galax schedule is Glenvar. Galax will play and face the BEST line all season in Glenvar, even Chilhowie, even Riverheads or Essex. Glenvars line play is that good and even better than last year.

I agree completely.. Glenvar had the best line of anyone I seen play last year and they're all back. Only key player lost was the RB.. They will go very deep in AA playoffs if not win it all.
